Today is my 40th birthday. Here are all the things that I know at 40 which I wish I knew at 20. Starting with… 1. Your relationship with others is a direct reflection of your relationship with yourself. If you treat yourself poorly, then you will unconsciously seek out and tolerate others who treat you poorly. If you treat yourself with dignity and respect, then you will only tolerate others who treat you with dignity and respect. Get right with yourself. Get right with the world.

@duluca Keeping a separate phone for work has been useful to me. It worked out better than expected and worth the hassle of carrying both. 💼

Pro vacation tip for busy minds: disable work e-mail and chat notifications, remove the apps from your home screen so you don't accidentally tap on one of them, and similarly ignore social media apps. I still like to read blogs, websites, and comment sections. What works for you?

Remember when I said it would be lunacy to buy a house right now? We're doing it! 🏡 @kapehe_ok and I chatted a bunch and figured out what we value more than money 👶👶. American children are outside 4-7 minutes per day. Compared to 7 hours staring at a screen. Those stats aren't for us! We want a place where our kids can roam outside all year round. Sure we'll have to pay more, and now might be the worst time to sell and buy a house. But forget all that. Priority goes to the kids and we're lucky that we're in a position that we are financially stable enough to do this. 🌲☀️ Denver here we come!
