In my time of college baseball I played with and against some elite players. All Americans, draft picks, and conference award winners. Here are a few things that I noticed and picked up on that separate the good players from the Elite players. (1/2)⬇️

Dear God, Good morning! Today, I’m thanking you in advance for the great things you will do in and through me. I’m asking you to pour out your blessings on every moment ahead of me today! Let your spirit invade me and guide me in the thoughts and choices I make. Help me see the big picture of all you are doing in my life and continue to focus on the next step, as I trust in you! Continue to draw me into closer relationship with you! I love you and thank you for all that I am and all that I have! Yesterday I wrapped up my college baseball career as well as my playing career. I was reflecting on some things that I wish I knew coming into college or somethings that I would tell younger players interested in playing college baseball. So here they are in no particular order⬇️

Life’s highest calling... Pick up the Trash...leave people, places, and things better than you found them! Every conversation matters. Every interaction matters. Every encounter is an opportunity to bring life, hope, and encouragement to someone else. You never know what someone is carrying, and you never know how one word, one smile, or one moment of genuine care might change their direction. Life is not only built in the big moments…it’s built in the ordinary ones. So, treat every day like it matters, because somebody else’s life might depend on it.

Dear God, Good morning! Today, I want to pray specifically for my family. Protect and bless them and draw them into closer relationship with you! Give us peace and grace as we patiently love one another. Help us to be a source of encouragement to one another. May our home be filled with your presence and your love. May we serve and support one another in beautiful ways. Make our words life-giving and supportive. Thank you so much for the gift of family! Thank you for the incredible blessings you’ve given us! Major life hack: Quiet progress. Learn to work without validation. No announcement. No hype. No applause. Build when nobody’s watching. Write when nobody’s reading. Train when nobody’s cheering. It doesn’t take talent. Just courage. Quiet progress creates loud results.

Dear God, Good Morning! I’m stepping into this new day with my heart wide open. I lay everything before You. If there’s anything holding me back, anything pulling me away from You, I let it go. I’m Yours. Lead me by Your Spirit, fill me to overflowing. Help me move forward with confidence. I’m walking into this day expecting great things that only You can make happen. I trust You completely with all of it. Help me to see the beauty in this day and to embrace the opportunities to serve You and others. May my actions today reflect Your love and light. Underrated life advice: Make yourself easy to root for. Be kind. Be reliable. Celebrate other people’s wins. Work hard without complaining. Carry good energy into rooms. You'll be shocked by how many doors open for you by making life better for others.

Nobody drifts into greatness. You drift into mediocrity by default. If you’re not intentional with your habits, mindset, and direction, you’ll slowly end up somewhere you never meant to be. A meaningful life is built through conscious choices made daily.

Dear God, Good morning! Thank you for another beautiful day! I celebrate the gift of waking up and having life today! I’m laying everything at Your feet... every dream, every plan, all my ambitions. Take them and make them into something greater. Close the doors that aren’t part of Your plan for me. I trust Your Spirit to guide me every step of the way, to guide me clearly and keep me in alignment with your will. I can’t wait to see how You’ll work in me and through me. May all I do bring You glory and draw me closer to You. Dear God, Good morning! You are a good good father. That’s who you are! And I’m loved by you! You are perfect in all of your ways. Thank You for giving me strength in every challenge and wisdom for every decision. Even when the days feel long or overwhelming, Your mercy is new each morning. Remind me that You never give me more than I can handle, and that with You, I’m always equipped for what’s ahead. Guide my steps today and let my heart overflow with thankfulness for your continual presence. I love you and thank you for everything you’ve given me! In Jesus Name, Amen 🙏 “But thanks be to God! A college coach can learn a lot from a quiet 0-for-4. Was there hard contact? Did the athlete compete every at-bat? Did he run the ball out? Did he stay locked in defensively? Did his body language change? The box score does not always tell the truth.

The plan that you or someone else creates for you will not magically make you the player that you say you want to be. The intent, focus and consistent execution of the plan, that’s where the magic lies.

Make talking to God a part of your daily routine.

Dear God, Good morning! Thank You for the great gift of the grace and mercy You’ve given me. Thank You for sending Jesus, so I can have a relationship with You. Please help me start this day with a grateful heart for all the good things You’ve done for me. Help me never forget that You’ve given me every good thing I get to experience. Help me find moments of peace in Your presence. I place my trust in You. In Jesus Name, Amen 🙏 “He brought me out into a spacious place; He rescued me because he delighted in me.” - Psalms 18:19

God: The Author of Comebacks There are seasons in life that will test you, there is no way around it. Moments that feel heavy, uncertain, even overwhelming. You can’t always control what shows up in your life, and you can’t always prevent the storm from coming. But you can control what you believe in the middle of it. But, there is unbelievable news: this is not how your story ends! God is a God of redemption, restoration, and comeback stories. So while the chapter you’re in might feel painful, it is not permanent. It’s preparation! Psalm 30:11 reminds us that “He turns mourning into dancing”. And, that’s not just poetic language, or lines in a worship song, that’s a promise! That thing that has you grieving, worn down, or questioning…God is already working behind the scenes to transform it into something that brings joy, meaning, and needed change, to make you an even better you. Where there’s sorrow right now, joy is coming. Not surface-level happiness, but deep, anchored, unshakable joy. Where you are experiencing lack, financially, emotionally, mentally, spiritually, God is not limited. He is a provider, and abundance is part of His nature. And, that loss you’ve been carrying, the thing you wish you could undo, God doesn’t waste pain. He uses it. He builds from it. He brings new beginnings out of places you thought were finished. So don’t tap out. Don’t let the current moment convince you that it is the final outcome. Stay in the fight. Stay anchored in faith. Stay expectant. Stay connected to the Author of Comebacks. Because God is not done yet. And, what’s ahead is going to look nothing like what you’ve been through!

Dear God, Good morning! Strengthen my faith when I feel weak, and help me to stand firm, knowing that You are fighting my battles. Let Your truth silence every lie and Your peace guard my heart. I declare in Christ, I am already more than a conqueror. Help me take the next step. Love the next person. Change the negative thought to a positive one. Lead me to places of more and more dependence on you! I love you and thank you for the incredible blessings you have given me! May I make much of the name of Jesus this day!
