@operaqueenie Decentralization is not about money/commerce for me. (At scale) it’s stability and reliability. The knowledge that I’m not dependent on a single server farm/company. I can self-host if I want and still participate in the larger community.

After reading the replies the the tweets I just shared about web3, I’m curious: What is the value of “decentralization” to you, personally? What promise do you see in it? (Don’t wanna debate whether it’s achievable/real, just want to know what it represents to different people)

@asolove @TeamTourus Oh yea, when I was doing more managing the iPad was my primary computer. I use Inspect Browser for dev tools, but I wanna try some of the other apps. For notes & sketching I’ve tried just about every app but keep returning to Paper by WeTransfer

@asolove @TeamTourus Became an iPad coder while my laptop was getting repaired, but it won’t become my default comp yet. The keyboard shortcuts were borked, and I had to get a separate app for dev tools that was ok but not great. Let me know your setup! Maybe I can improve mine

@asolove I use a combination of codeserver (self-hosted for personal projects) and currently codespaces for @TeamTourus. I did try out gitpod, but haven’t officially made the switch yet.
