@LiterateIndy Two names for the same thing, was reffed to by meteorologists as Soft Hail but is more recently Graupel. Many of the general public know it as Soft Hail.

And now soft hail (can look a bit like snow). Temperatures up to 10°c in the sunshine but 6°c under a shower. ☀️🌦️🌧️🌨️

@SuellaBraverman Here’s a tip look up the difference between weather and climate. Also if you wasn’t aware, Easter isn’t a set date so weather can and does vary widely for Easter 👌🏻

@TriciaNo2 @TheSnowDreamer It’s been a relatively dry and warm March so you could say it’s just mother nature balancing things out. Although rare in recent years we can still see snow in late March and early April.

After a few unsettled days should see a more settled spell next week, albeit possibly rather cool later in the week. High pressure builds to the west and this may extend further north / northeast dragging in colder air later in the week.

Although temps not to dissimilar to recent days, feels chilly in the breeze, can feel the approaching change. Showery rain arrives late evening & overnight with a cold front bringing much fresher & showery conditions tomorrow. Sunny spells Thurs 8-10°c. Milder Fri with rain 13°c.

As expected a touch cooler today after a low of 1.9°c, a light frost first thing. Early mist & fog is clearing, more high cloud around today compared to the last few days but still good sunny spells to come 14-16°c. Similar the weekend, cooler on the east coast with the breeze.

Rain clears this evening then we have dry, sunny and warmer spell with light winds. Highs Tuesday-Thurs 14-16°c, largely sunny Friday but a touch cooler with a keener easterly breeze. Similar into the weekend, sunny spells, cool breeze in the east. ☀️☀️

The sunshine today has given enough lift for more showers than expected today. A few potent ones around, these will fade this evening. As mentioned starts sunny tomorrow but cloud increasing by the middle of the day with some patchy rain late afternoon and evening.

Lighter winds the weekend still rather cool 12°c perhaps a light frost both tonight & Saturday night. Sunny spells tomorrow small chance of a shower, starts sunny on Sunday but cloud increasing patchy rain late afternoon. Dry with good amounts of sunshine next week, warmer. 🎉

@TriciaNo2 5 of the 10 had sunshine 3 of last last 4 were cloudy so feels like it’s cloudier with recency bias. Will be some sunnier days to be had. Fridays rain might be earlier than anticipated, may clear by morning.

@thamesweather Oh! How disappointing. Just when we all thought we were drifting into a pleasant Spring 🌷albeit only a handful of sunny days (horrible murky cloud for best part of these days in March) Dan.

12 days on from the below and the first ten days of March have been drier with just 6mm of rain from one rain event on Friday. Temperatures a little above average with some warm days.
Turning a little cooler and more unsettled over the next 10 days with some wind and rain.

Per below rain overnight & tomorrow, perhaps some Sunday but on the whole plenty of drier weather expected in the first half of March temps generally average. As high pressure builds, placement could allow some cool/cold weather toward mid month but talk of snow is premature.
