I'm a student here, and all the staff and students I'm with, all are in agreement that this is unnecessary and does not make sense. What does "Leave a Future" mean in the first place, like why did the U decide on this stupid slogan?
We have many buildings, such as the Rarig Center, which are in need of major upgrades, especially when it comes to Technology and safety, but every time the staff requests those upgrades to be done, the U simply states we don't have the budget for it.
It frustrates me that they had the budget to spend 15 million dollars on something stupid and unnecessary when it could have gone to the buildings on campus that need those upgrades.
I wished if they had sent us collectively the students & faculties for feedback or input into this weird slogan.
That's the U for U.

Shiny new tech is great, but it doesn't mean much if there’s nobody left in the tower who knows how to use it.

May the person who allowed this to happen and allowed this controller to do multiple jobs all alone by himself instead of hiring more staff rot in hell.

It's selfish to prioritize saving money over removing risk factors. TSA agents and other government employees aren't getting paid, and now this? 😤 till when America? Till when?

It's the federal government's fault for pursuing cost cutting measures and not hiring more ATCs (and who in this admin is at fault is obvious). Sadly the federal government is often immune from being sued for most cases.

Definitely understaffed and the controller was handling another incident with United, The airport needs to be sued, hopefully the people involved in this tragic incident do sue the airport. 1 person can't do multiple jobs at once, they are not built like robots.
