Alternatively: Comms 101: "We are a compassionate government that is committed to justice and law enforcement. That is why the state provides a world class protection system to all key witnesses. We regret that, in some cases, witnesses decline this offer and tragedies can occur. We will continue to be available to offer affected families our support and counsel." The end.

I don't think these human beings understand that our life and death matters are now way bigger than their power plays. We literally don't give a rat's ass about their factions. Can they fix our cities or not? Can they fix our provinces and country or not? No? OK. MOVING ON!

UK fugitive captured in Cape Town suburbs faces deportation for drug trafficking charges A British fugitive wanted on serious drug trafficking charges in the United Kingdom was arrested in the upscale, leafy suburbs of Cape Town earlier this week, ending months of evasion. The suspect, whose identity remains under wraps pending formal proceedings, is scheduled for deportation back to the UK today, Friday, where he will stand trial for his alleged crimes. South African authorities, working closely with Interpol and UK law enforcement, located the man in a quiet neighborhood known for its affluent homes and serene environment. The arrest followed a tip-off that led to a coordinated raid, with officials confirming the operation was swift and peaceful. The fugitive had been living low-key in the area, blending into the community while on the run. According to sources familiar with the case, the man faces multiple counts of drug trafficking, including conspiracy to supply Class A substances and possession with intent to distribute, stemming from a major investigation in the UK. These charges carry potential sentences of up to 20 years or more if convicted, highlighting the severity of the offenses that prompted an international manhunt. The impending deportation today, Friday exemplifies strong bilateral ties between South African and British authorities in tackling cross-border crime. Suburban residents were taken aback by the revelation. "You never expect something like this in our neighborhood it's usually so peaceful," remarked one local, speaking on condition of anonymity. As the suspect prepares to "face the music" in a UK courtroom, this incident serves as a reminder of the long arm of the law, even in idyllic hideaways far from home.

Honorary degrees irritate me. No celebrity, in my opinion, Deserves one. College is demanding, requires a lot of sacrifice and commitment, and can be expensive for some. College kids aren't receiving Grammys or Emmys so why do actors and musicians receive degrees??!
