@thatMissJones @PaulGarvey4 @MrTs_NQTs The mini-me is always a real hit and allowed them to build a structure then take themselves through it (when they can’t physically go inside) as they do so they are adventuring and storytelling.

How can I encourage my #eyfs class to use their construction area more purposefully? 👷‍♀️👷‍♂️There is a new challenge to try each week. Pupils help themselves to a variety of blocks etc, but often use the area to run around despite open access to the outdoor area @MrTs_NQTs

Thank you all for these ideas! 👷‍♀️👌 The challenges aspect is out of my hands as it's a whole school approach, but I will definitely explore mini-me's and a book displaying good examples of pupil builds. Hopefully I can free up staff for some extra modelling in the area too. 🙌

@Oldprimaryhead1 @WhistleblowingT I worked in a nut free school - we had a few young pupils with severe nut allergies. It was worth the 'sacrifice' to lessen the chance of anaphylaxis.

@thatMissJones @MrTs_NQTs Lots of schools just don’t have the budget to get agencies in. We’ve been told we’ll be covering all supply in house for the foreseeable due to budget!

@thatMissJones @MrTs_NQTs It’s so hard my school has been using level 3 TAs to cover coz there’s no money! Just tell your agent to prioritise for you for literally anything that comes up (if you can be flexible with age group&distance to work) & especially if you’re willing to take TA work as it’s quiet
