People say eating animals is wrong..but Ashtang Hridayam(written by famous Acharyas)clearly mentions different types of meat as part of diet ..knowledge said to come from Brahma. So what's actually right or wrong?

@giga_smasher You can check the text by urself(shlok 50, 3rd chapter), those are general eating habits to be used in sharad ritu. There are no mentions of any rules that who should consume it or not ..

@thatUntamedMind It can't be as simple as unless mentioned for medical reasons; from what i have seen, usually there is strict guidelines for how it is to be consumed and by whom and when.

@giga_smasher Whether medhyam or non medhyam , meat remains meat ! Talking about what should you eat in sharad ritu, book clearly mentions that you can consume animal meat ( no mention of medhyam or non medhyam) with many other plant based food too. At the end it remains your choice ig.
