Coinbase is listing $PRL soon. The AI stack right now is mispriced because people are still focused on models, while the real constraint is the data layer. Most training data today is synthetic, recycled, and hard to verify, which is already starting to appear in model quality. Perle is going after that directly with verified, human-reviewed datasets and clear provenance, which is much closer to what enterprise and government use cases actually require. The team comes out of Scale AI, still the benchmark in this category (~$30B, Meta + DoD), so they understand the problem at a fundamental level. They’ve raised ~$17M and are already generating real revenue from clients. Sahara and similar projects in the "AI data layer" category have seen strong secondary market valuations, largely driven by the narrative around decentralized data infrastructure for AI. Perle sits in that same category but is more tightly positioned around verifiable, expert-grade data rather than broad data marketplaces. Perle feels like they’re building something that’s structurally aligned with where actual AI demand is going.
