RESERVATION I have no idea whether to believe in the Indian Express report about reservations. But I am quote posting my tweet dated 03/07/25, in which I had expressed the apprehension that whatever changes if any are made, will be at the cost of Kashmiri speaking population. I can say it on authority that in the BJP reign, while taking a decision on reservations, even the BJP got scared and at the last moment decided not to touch RBA. The reason being that this is the only form of reservation where Kashmiris get some relief. What BJP could not dare to do to Kashmiris, it seems as per the Indian Express report, the NC has done it. They have historically been the errand boys in every fixed match between Delhi and Srinagar. And what is this fallacious argument that ST has been decided by Parliament and hence cannot be changed. By default the 60 and 40% reserved and open merit ratio is a spillover of the ST decision made in the Parliament. By that yardstick you can’t change anything. But the reality as it states in our faces is that You can change anything and everything. But you don’t want to. You want to hide behind falsehood, lies, deception. Who gave this legal opinion. Who decide on the final outcome. Was it an outcome of research or a whim or electoral expedience. Can the government share the parameters of the research. Do we know who the illustrious researchers were. This government will of course go down in history with the odium and contempt that it deserves. It however seems determined to turn every stone that it can turn to perpetuate a societal disaster of unimaginable proportions. This government is an existential threat to Kashmiris. I will repeat. Bring back District recruitment. Bring back divisional recruitment. And lastly will refer to the old maxim :- "A bull does not become king just by entering the palace, but the palace becomes a barn."
