@Matuco_Medes In their defense, that strategy helped claw back power from Reagan-era Republicans in the 90s. Their ascension to party leadership was a product of that success. But they keep trying to relive their greatest hits without considering that it might not work anymore.

@Matuco_Medes The old guard are stuck in a post-Reagan era mindset. Think Pelosi, Axelrod, Podesta, Clinton, Schumer, Carville. They cut their teeth during the “Third Way” era of the Democratic Party, & don’t seem willing or able to adapt their strategy to a vastly different political climate.
