@neco_161 Why on earth would I tip the landlord . Unless they’re doing the repairs to the building themselves and keeping rent fair , they don’t deserve a tip
@DannyRayChamp@DynamoSuperX That’s the thing , during civil war they stopped hating anyone who registered …. EXCEPT MUTANTS . Mutants still got the same hate and treatment . Nothing changed except now there was a database with their info .
@theEmmanuelizzy@DynamoSuperX Was that not the entire plot of the first civil war event? Also on that note mutations can be prevented with a vaccine. Humans can control one and not so much the other.
I don't care for political allegories but y'all got zero media literacy if you honestly think the villain had a point.
bro said humans have it harder when mutants literally get ridiculed, hunted and incarcerated for simply being mutants.
how y'all x-men fans and miss this?
@dovianax@DynamoSuperX That’s the thing , they felt no fear or hate to anyone who registered . They supported the registration. Yet still hated mutants
People in the replies saying mutants are lucky they have superpowers they mustn’t whine. But they often forget that most mutants aren’t the X-Men or even living in the X mansion nor do they have crazy superpowers.
Anyway this comic page drawn by Alex Ross really moved me.
Corinna Smith poured boiling water mixed with sugar on her husband whilst he slept, killing him. Corinna said that she found out he had been sexually abusing their children.
@analien4ever@ageofnina@interesting_aIl Got it , so we are just blaming the wife and ignoring how good pedos have to be at hiding stuff to avoid being caught
@DynamoSuperX I think it has to do with the fact that being a human in a world where mutants can manipulate the human mind, the forces of nature, the cosmos or reality itself would have many being worried and scared enough to make giant freaking robots and pass mutant registration policies.
@birdofgarr@DynamoSuperX Oh, and they don’t have to do the same for every other war in marvel comics. Because let’s be clear , The heroes in marvel who aren’t mutants collectively have caused more wars and deaths than every mutant combined .
@DynamoSuperX On an individual basis you are correct but on a large general basis it’s humanity as a whole that is often left picking up the pieces of these giant mutant wars. I mean,
@DannyRayChamp@DynamoSuperX Ok … but then why not hate ALL super powered beings ? Why just hate the ones who are genetically predisposed to having powers? If it was genuinely about fear for safety they’d hate spiderman , captain America , Thor etc.
@DynamoSuperX I don't know the threat of somebody just randomly discovering their power and killing somebody is pretty stressful, it's not something you can even prepare for. Sure some powers are harmless but then you get the kid who causes people to combust internally.
@RealMeKnows@DynamoSuperX Ask yourself this , if your race was hated for existing and then the government develops a cure for your race , would you take it? Or would you view that as a massive insult
@DoctorWhy10@DynamoSuperX There’s a difference between distrust and blatant racism. And in the context of the marvel universe they’d still be a racist because there are plenty of super powered heroes and villains who are human. They’d have to distrust all super powered people
@FeelingRoguish@DynamoSuperX X cutioner was a racist before they snapped . He was a member of the friends of humanity who existed before professor X died in the show .
@FeelingRoguish@DynamoSuperX Nope , the group of mutants expressing this sentiment were fine with equality. That’s all they wanted , and then on live television one of the most human looking mutants who was actively advocating for peace , was murdered by a racist. So the mutants snapped .
@DynamoSuperX One thing I never understood about X-men is the hate against mutants. There are super powered humans who have the same, if not stranger characteristics that should make them ridiculed, but they’re treated fine. Everyone says yes to a human spider, but no to mutants
@azazelthegoat@rzochoa@DynamoSuperX 😂😂😂😂 that is the worst comparison I’ve ever seen. The difference is one is unwilling to take a proven medicine and is knowingly endangering others during an epidemic , and the other was born with an anomaly in their dna that a racist doctor is judging them for .
@thicc_wolf@KalebSa61911685@DynamoSuperX That’s the same garbage logic racists use , deaths caused by one criminal is not an excuse to harass and kill an entire race
@KalebSa61911685@DynamoSuperX My guy X-Cutioner has a reason to despise mutants, his brother was killed by mutants, and those mutants went unpunished. His entire schtick is he's the punisher but against Mutant criminals.
@Jeremypacheco@not__vee@CodySDax So rather than understand the story and the point being made , you’d rather trivialize it and poke holes in it and support the clearly racist characters
"....marginalised person...."
Trying to equate the X-Men to "marginalised person" is always so disingenuous, the mutants do have the ability to destroy cities or the world, Magneto once reverted the earth polarity, there is a mutant that can go off like an atomic bomb at any second.
