Taylor Sheridan is better at writing movies than he is writing television shows. Don’t get me wrong- the guy can write for both mediums as well as anyone this side of Aaron Sorkin. But films like Wind River, Sicario & Hell or High Water are proof Sheridan writes best for Cinema.

@Tafkaj @Emzyl_ That tactic Pep used yesterday pushing 4 high to stop passing lines is used on the level 1 FA coaching course . If Arteta cannot solve that then he’s in serious trouble.

@Emzyl_ Even his fans can't tell you a vital in-game tactical change that has greatly affected a match outcome, his in-game management is just accepted as poor Like for like and zero adjustments, the minute he saw that City press he should have ensured we countered it, did nothing

This is what I've been saying for sometime now about Arteta, but people are focused on the wrong stuff. Tactically he is one trick pony, doesn't have any answer when he gets taken unaware, all he does is change personnel and hope he gets a corner or score a lucky goal.
Stompey🇸🇪 (fan)@stompey__

There was nothing “genius” about what Pep did yesterday btw. There’s a reason teams don’t usually play 4 players high and narrow. If 4 players push high, there’s going to be space out wide and in behind them. Arsenal simply failed to adapt.

@Tafkaj Just get rid . This summer the whole attacking section needs resetting. Mad when you think they spent 115 mill on a 9 and a project left winger who can’t play left wing last summer…..

@theFIGroll I want to fight him most of our games. Mainly because he’s weak as piss so I know I’d batter him.

Liam Rosenior's former Hull team mate, Kevin Kilbane: "He’s unrecognisable to the player and the person I knew. It’s like he’s swallowed a psychologist’s manual or a sporting mentor’s memoir. To me, everything he says is waffle, drivel, nothing."

Of course the PR accounts are focussing on this single decision over the fundamental football issues on display If you can't use a no2 GK in a final then you don't have a no2 GK do you, Kepa is rubbish but lots of the cult were describing him as "smart business" in the summer
The Athletic | Football@TheAthleticFC

Dropping Kepa Arrizabalaga for the League Cup final would have been an utterly ruthless piece of management. It would have been cold, hard-headed, and brutally pragmatic. Which is why it seems odd that Mikel Arteta didn’t do it. @gunnerblog explains Arteta’s unusually sentimental decision that cost Arsenal badly in the final ⤵️ bit.ly/4t0oAld

This is the genesis of Zubimendi’s problem, he moves too much. Controller 6s don’t play like this. You don’t see Jorginho or Partey doing cardio sections like this because they sit at the base of midfield and dictate play with their iq and technical ability. Declan Rice is the one who should be moving around, he has the engine and the ability to influence every phase. Zubimendi is roaming because he’s not excelling at his primary job, which is controlling tempo. If Arsenal wanted a mobile 8/6, there are several players better suited to that role, Bruno Guimaraes is one of them. But the whole idea behind Zubimendi was that he’d sit at the base like Partey or Jorginho and give Rice the freedom to move. Instead, he’s actually moving more than Rice, while Rice is left to carry the entire buildup burden on his own.

@bry5913 For a coach who like OOP, Trossard is the dirt worst. Weak as piss. Not good enough on the ball either. A few goals here and there to cover the cracks in his performances.
