Strategy: 1)Sell a Nifty weekly strangle on the close of each weekly expiry day (entry into the new cycle), choosing the CE strike at + X delta and PE strike at −X delta. 2)Skip the cycle entirely if India VIX at entry is ≥ 20 . Hold to next weekly expiry. 3)If either leg's close ≥ 2× its entry premium, close the full strangle and reopen fresh strikes at the new spot's X-delta strikes. Settle remaining position at expiry intrinsic. Tested across deltas (X): 0.10, 0.15, 0.20, 0.25, 0.30, 0.35 on 95 trading cycles over May 2024 to May 2026, lot size 75, Rs 1.5L margin per cycle. Result: 1) Best absolute return if you can stomach swings: 0.35delta : 81% annualised but at the cost of 29% drawdown. 2) 0.25delta. Best balance of all the criteria, drawdown is contained 23.6%, annualized return 62% is meaningful. 3) 0.15 delta: Lowest drawdown 24.4%; Annualized return is at 42%.

@optionstraddler The market behaviour is very similar to Jane Street days The IV spike in OTMs is crazy with a small move in index But the move is so sudden that SL hit is must ! Just be careful for few days if you havent traded during jane street days Watch the market for few days then decide

Trading intraday is actually not worth it anymore.. In April I've tried trading aggressive with straddles, aggressive but hedged : Ironfly & iron condor. Trading conservative with 1 strike away hedge. Trading Far OTMs selling (1.5-2% away). Conservative I've made 0.7% in Aprl
