I have noticed that you have changed your tone and completely shifted from the initial conversation. I will overlook it this time, but let it be known to you and anyone else that I do not entertain threats in any form, no matter how subtle they may appear. Such behavior might be excused coming from faceless accounts, but certainly not from known personalities, like you. Next time, don’t attempt such nonsense with me, because it will not end here. I could have taken this matter further with my legal team and the authorities as witnesses, especially with your statement: “Whoever knows Bashir Ahmad should warn him abeg make nobody comes to my DM to tell me to stop o” What exactly do you mean by that? Is it a suggestion of physical harm, abduction or intimidation that until someone pleads on my behalf? Only God and you know your intention, but you as a lawyer know better than I do that such words constitute a threat. You may check my history on this platform, despite frequent attacks directed at me, I have never threatened anyone, even though I have the capacity do so or the means to defend myself if necessary. But you, as a lawyer who should understand the legal weight of your words, decided to issue a threat publicly. Do not repeat it.
Foundational Nupe Lawyer@egi_nupe

I will start taking you serious the day you start using your platform and social medial influence to speak against the following and educating your people on them: 1. High poverty rates in the North. 2. Increasing illiteracy and out of school children in the North. 3. Illegal mining of mineral resources in the North. 4. Unending insecurity/terrorism in the North. 5. Child marriage in the North. 6. Religious extremism and killings in the North. If you can do these and survive the next two years, that’s the only time you will be worthy of any respect, fight or back and forth with me. Till then. Enjoy your day and desperation for government positions and crumps😀🫣

I agree with Akitu. The release of these girls is not something we should be celebrating as a victory. Reports even indicate that two parents of the abducted children have died, how can anyone separate those tragedies from the trauma their families have endured, particularly those that died? Beyond the headlines, does the President truly understand the long-term emotional and psychological damage these innocent girls have suffered? Does he grasp the possibility of abuse they may have been exposed to while in captivity? Instead of treating this situation with the gravity it deserves, the President’s public celebration comes across as dismissive of the pain these families are going through. It feels less like empathy and more like an attempt to score political points, and that is deeply insulting to Nigerians who are living with the consequences of failed security systems. With all due respect, the President needs to recognize that this is not success by any standard. Nigerians are exhausted, traumatized, and frustrated. Continuing to present these tragedies as achievements only widens the disconnect between leadership and the people they are meant to serve.

Respectfully, comrade, the President’s decision to remain in the country did not prevent the escalation of the situation. In fact, from the way events have unfolded, it appears that the negotiation efforts undertaken through the DSS and the military may have unintentionally contributed to the second attack by the bandits in Kwara. Moreover, the individuals who were released do not seem to have received any form of structured rehabilitation or psychological support. It is important not to portray the President’s actions as extraordinary when the outcomes on the ground tell a different story. These young girls are likely dealing with deep psychological trauma, much of which may never be publicly reported. It is also possible that they experienced forms of abuse during captivity, but many of these painful realities will remain hidden from the media. With due respect, we must speak with one voice, without sentiment, fear or favor, and tell the President the truth, the current approach is not effective, and the country cannot continue like this. If we begin to soften our words or shield him from honest criticism, we risk allowing even greater damage, damage that may eventually become impossible to contain.
