@ArthurGoetz1 「敵は馬鹿ではない」という言葉がありますが、今回の振る舞いを見る限り、その前提は成り立っていないように思えます。

彼は別のものも破壊すると脅している。

@ArthurGoetz1 修練もなく危険な方法で日本刀を振るうこと自体が問題です。 アジア系の名前を揶揄する発言まであれば、無理解では済みません。(English: "...made by 'Sum Yoong Gai'" - a racist English pun) 危険で無礼、不適切だと思います。

1ヶ月ほど前、彼は17世紀の脇差を使って箱を叩く動画を撮影した。ソーシャルメディアのコメントでこの行為を批判された彼は、それに激怒した。

@toushin1 本当に悲しいことです。この状況全体が非常に残念です。彼は事業でかなりの収入を得ているようですが、文化的な価値や歴史的な価値には全く関心がないようです。

これは... 日本刀を古くから信仰の対象や日本の誇りとして考えている日本人がいることを彼は知っているのでしょうか？ 彼らは自国の国旗や信仰する宗教の聖書やそのシンボルを無意味に破壊されて、自分が所有しているただの布だから、ただの本だからと言われたらそれで理解されるのでしょうか？ 何も知らない一般の方ならまだしも、これをやっているのが銃砲店を営んでいる方というのが信じられません。 彼の投稿を実際に見ましたが、彼のコメントに「それでなにか切ってみよう」「スプレー塗装してみよう」等、楽しんでいる人も散見され、日本刀を好きで刀剣店で働いている私としては非常に悲しくなってしまいました。 また一方で日本でも一部の軍刀のように無鍛錬のものや損傷が激しいものだと美術的、歴史的価値がないと判断されこのように切断、溶断されることが有り、また、警察の方が勝手に判断して刀を傷つけられたというようなことも聞いています。 日本刀はただの物であり、所有していれば何をしても許される？ 皆様は日本刀をどのようにお考えでしょうか？ 是非コメントで意見をいただければと思います。

@bunburyoudoujp Koryū isn't about fighting these days anyway. It's about passing on reihō to the next generation. It's lost on Americans and UFChimpanzees.

“I moved for the martial arts.” That’s not “going to Japan to fight.” I’ve been doing Kyokushin lineage arts since 2011 (I did other striking arts before that).

@the_patch_dev I just follow what the kendō renmei says it is. 🤣 Nice to meet another actual iai practitioner. The significance of juntō might be lost on some people.

I find this kind of comment interesting because it never seems to apply to language. If culture comes from race/ethnicity then surely there would be languages I could naturally speak. Why can I speak Japanese but can’t speak ye olde languages related to my genetic heritage? 🤔

@bunburyoudoujp Obviously not at enbu, and my lineage is Tanimura-ha. 😉 The other koryū is kenjutsu. Speaking of which, we consider MSR iaijutsu and not iaido.
