I really think that the introduction of prediction markets ingrained in me the idea that price is truth and that if you want to understand the outcome of any event or company, you simply look at the price action. When I wanted the unbiased truth of who was winning the election in 2024, I went to Kalshi and immediately understood who would win. No amount of articles or tweets could compete with the pure knowledge of the market.
The same can be said of stock markets. Sometimes it doesn’t feel like it. But on the whole, the price action of any security is what tells you most about what is really going on.

@Midnight_Captl It is down on the fact that it is simply a behemoth with a monstrous market cap that cannot be moved easily. I would not be surprised to see $NVDA go nowhere on the most bullish of news. Everyone already owns it. Who is left to buy??

I went to look at $BE after seeing all these bullish posts on “their blowout numbers” and I just don’t see how this valuation is even remotely close to reality. But whatever. This market is nuts.

Gas prices have increased >$1/gallon on average since February. I read somewhere this AM that means consumers are spending an extra ~$350M more each day on gasoline vs Feb (not significant in big picture tbh). I wonder if we reach the $5/gallon threshold highs 2022.

The fact that i am sitting around feeling like a dumb ass for not having enough AI exposure might be a top signal. To be fair I do have a huge $ARM short that aims at 0ing out Softbank's ARM holding (oops). Feel like a lot of people probably in the same boat ("Why am I not 100% semis right now?")

After photonics, I’m shifting into plasmonics.. That’s where the bottleneck is going. Not more bandwidth.. but how you actually scale 3.2T+ without hitting physics limits. $MRVL didn’t buy Polariton for fun. That’s a signal silicon photonics alone isn’t enough. Meanwhile the market is still stuck on $AAOI $LITE $COHR.. The interesting layer is deeper now: $MTSI on the device side, $TSEM on the foundry side, $AEHR on testing, even earlier bets like $SIVE etc.. Messy, early and not fully understood. I like it.. Same setup as early photonics.. just one layer deeper.
