Seeing charts like these makes me really sad for the employees. The 6 months lock-up period is criminal. The sharks and VCs get their money upfront, while the people who worked the hardest to make the company successful get screwed. Most IPOs have been looking like this lately.

This is an email I sent earlier today to all employees at Coinbase: Team, Today I’ve made the difficult decision to reduce the size of Coinbase by ~14%. I want to walk you through why we're doing this now, what it means for those affected, and how this positions us for the future. Why now Two forces are converging at the same time. We need to be front footed to respond to both. First, the market. Coinbase is well-capitalized, has diversified revenue streams, and is well-positioned to weather any storm. Crypto is also on the verge of the next wave of adoption, with stablecoins, prediction markets, tokenization, and more taking off. However, our business is still volatile from quarter to quarter. While we've managed through that cyclicality many times before and come out stronger on the other side, we’re currently in a down market and need to adjust our cost structure now so that we emerge from this period leaner, faster, and more efficient for our next phase of growth. Second, AI is changing how we work. Over the past year, I’ve watched engineers use AI to ship in days what used to take a team weeks. Non-technical teams are now shipping production code and many of our workflows are being automated. The pace of what's possible with a small, focused team has changed dramatically, and it's accelerating every day. All of this has led us to an inflection point, not just for Coinbase, but for every company. The biggest risk now is not taking action. We are adjusting early and deliberately to rebuild Coinbase to be lean, fast, and AI-native. We need to return to the speed and focus of our startup founding, with AI at our core. What this means To get there, we are not just reducing headcount and cutting costs, we’re fundamentally changing how we operate: rebuilding Coinbase as an intelligence, with humans around the edge aligning it. What does this mean in practice? - Fewer layers, faster decisions: We are flattening our org structure to 5 layers max below CEO/COO. Layers slow things down and create coordination tax. The future is small, high context teams that can move quickly. Leaders will own much more, with as many as 15+ direct reports. Fewer layers also means a leaner cost structure that is built to perform through all market cycles. - No pure managers: Every leader at Coinbase must also be a strong and active individual contributor. Managers should be like player-coaches, getting their hands dirty alongside their teams. - AI-native pods: We’ll be concentrating around AI-native talent who can manage fleets of agents to drive outsized impact. We’ll also be experimenting with reduced pod sizes, including “one person teams” with engineers, designers, and product managers all in one role. In short: AI is bringing a profound shift in how companies operate, and we’re reshaping Coinbase to lead in this new era. This is a new way of working, and we need to leverage AI across every facet of our jobs. To those who are affected I know there are real people behind these decisions — talented colleagues who have poured themselves into this company and our mission. To those of you who will be leaving: thank you. You’ve helped build Coinbase into what it is today, and I am sincerely grateful for everything you've done. All impacted team members will receive an email to their personal account in the next hour with more information, and an invitation to meet with an HRBP and a senior leader in your organization. Coinbase system access has been removed today. I know this feels sudden and harsh, but it is the only responsible choice given our duty to protect customer information. To those affected, we will be providing a comprehensive package to support you through this transition. US employees will receive a minimum of 16 weeks base pay (plus 2 weeks per year worked), their next equity vest, and 6 months of COBRA. Employees on a work visa will get extra transition support. Those outside of the US will receive similar support, based on local factors and subject to any consultation requirements. Coinbase prides itself on talent density. Our employees are among the most talented people in the world, and I have no doubt that your skills and experience will be highly sought after as you pursue your next chapters. How we move forward To the team that is staying, I know this is a difficult day. We’re saying goodbye to colleagues and friends you've been in the trenches with. But here’s what I want you to know as we move forward together: Over the past 13 years, we have weathered four crypto winters, gone public, and built the most trusted platform in our industry. We’ve made it this far by making hard decisions and by always staying focused on our mission. This time will be no different – nothing has changed about the long term outlook of our company or industry. And most importantly, our mission has never been more important for the world. Increasing economic freedom requires a new financial system, and we’re building it. The Coinbase that emerges from this will be more capable than ever to achieve our mission. Brian

My guess is too much exposure to sex and arousal material. Primarily through porn but also through social media in general. Rewires the brain in such a way that the threshold for mental arousal is much higher than normal. Their dick still works, it's just that mentally their "standards" for what's hot/sexy have gone through the roof, so now it takes A LOT more for theirs dick to get hard. This is in comparison to, say, their granddads who can get hard at the sight of a mere nipple.

This is what I meant by guys must fix their ED issues if they want to play the game. Don't go through the entire gauntlet of approaching a chick, talking to her, getting her number, texting her, setting up a meeting, taking her out on a date, asking her to come back, she agrees, you escalate, she gives in, you guys get naked, etc. only to not seal the deal at the last step because your dick doesn't want to fucking cooperate.

Last night I had the privilege of being the first retail trading community (a 100% free one) to sponsor an institutional trading conference. I spent hours discussing retail order flow patterns with real market makers. I met with quants who code the algorithms that impact the markets we trade. I even got to ask top firms who keeps stealing my stops and if they could stop. I find it important as a trader/mentor to level up my circle outside of the social media world and get insight from real pros. Also we hit 10k on YouTube and hit one of the biggest trades on my career on $CAR. Blessed is an understatement

the mental framework for 0DTE that most people are missing: stop thinking about direction. start thinking about volatility. here's what i mean. most traders sit down and ask: is $SPY going up or down today? wrong question. the right question is: where is $SPY going to move fast? because 0DTE doesn't reward being right about direction. it rewards being in the right place when volatility hits. a $0.30 move on $SPY in 2 minutes is worth 15-20% on your option. not because the move is huge. because it's fast. volatility is the ingredient. speed is the multiplier. the level is just where you wait for both to show up. when that fast move comes — you're in. when you have your 15% — you're out. before the volatility dies. before theta takes what the move just gave you. that's the whole game. quick in. quick out. volatility in. volatility out. if the market is slow and grinding — you're not trading. you're waiting. because without volatility, 0DTE is just an expensive way to watch a chart. learn to read when volatility is showing up. then move with it. that's the mindset.

I’m guessing $UBER margins continue to get compressed over the next 5+ years as they lose pricing power. The question is whether the whole TAM keeps getting bigger because of AVs. Right now I believe $UBER takes a 20-30% cut… what if they strike deals with the OEMs who cover the capex and deploy onto $UBER network but $UBER takes 30-40% cut? Or, what if $UBER lets any owner of an AV put their car onto the $UBER network and it’s a 50/50 revenue split for $UBER?

$SPY I agree with bro here. This market right now is very good for day traders but sucks for swing traders like me. It’s either I’ll have to switch to quick small intraday scalps or sit in cash until the market starts behaving normally again. I don’t like day trading and scalping though, that’s the problem. I’ll let the current swing play out and see afterwards.

A woman arrived in a store wearing clothes that showed her body all too well. The shop owner, being a wise older man, took a good look at her, asked her to sit down, looked straight into her eyes, and said something she would never forget for the rest of her life. “Young Lady, everything that God has made valuable in this world, is covered up and hard to see or find." For example: 1. Where can you find diamonds? In the ground, covered and protected. 2. Where are the pearls? Deep in the ocean, covered and protected in a beautiful shell. 3. Where can you find gold? Underground, covered with layers of rock, and to get there you have to work very hard and dig deep. He looked at her again and said, "Your body is sacred and unique to God." You are far more precious than gold, diamonds, and pearls, therefore you must be covered too. He then added: "If you keep your precious minerals like gold, diamonds, and pearls deeply covered, a “reputable mining organization” with the necessary machines, will work for years to mine those precious goods. * First, they will contact your government (family), * Second, sign professional contracts (marriage), * Third, they will professionally extract those goods, and tenderly refine those precious goods. (marital life). But if you let your minerals find themselves on top of the Earth's surface (exposed to everyone), you will always attract many illegal miners to come, exploit, illegally, and freely take those riches and leave you without the precious goods God gave you!

This month trading $SPY will haunt me for a long time. I am in with new dates and strikes with remaining equity. Realized the L on the old cons. Still green on the year thankfully. By a little. I am not done with the trade. Just adjusted it. But had to show this for transparency so you all can see in a couple of months time that no hot streak lasts forever. And losses are apart of the game. What matters is how often you win vs lose vs risk and whether you stay true to your system in the long run. What a terrible week and month it has been. I am down, but not out. Just in new cons. Thank you for your attention to this matter. $SPY #SPX #SP500

$SPY Price closed at the last fib resistance. I never thought we would get here before a move down to 660 at least but here we are. I think this resistance will hold, even if price wicks above it or even close, it needs to hold above it for a couple of trading days to prove reliable. If that happens then the next fib level is above 700. What I’m expecting to see now is a move back to the 670s, anywhere in the 670s, whether it’s 679 or 670. That could be enough to fill the vix gap at 25. I’ll cash out of all shorts there, especially around 672-670 and see what happens then decide. This move alone should put me back green on the month. Once we get that move, price can either hold the support, make a higher low around there and go for a new all time high, or it can hold the support, bounce, reject to make a lower high and then go down further towards 660s, 650s, 640s or even make a new low in the 620s. In both cases, bull and bear, a pullback is due now. I just can’t see price shooting straight above 700 after the massive run up we had. That’s not how it works. I’m basically neutral now, because it’s 50/50 between the two. I’m just shorting to the 670s then I’ll see which side has strength and I’ll be on with them.

absolute financial illiteracy if you have $5M in your "bank account" and you're complaining that you "don't spend enough time with the kids" then it's a skill issue 5 million soldiers put to work, let's say paid off house 500k and 4.5M put to work at 10% a year that's 450k a year, let's say 5% worst case scenario is 225k a year covers EVERYTHING you need to cover
