@CodysLab That would be my conclusion. Some people might have one very dominant eye some might be relatively equal. But I am by no means an expert. Just interested in the topic.

@the_tohmis That is at least easy to understand. so I just don't have a dominant eye?

say you are looking through a window with rain droplets on the glass while a dog is playing outside in the grass near a tree with a rainbow, clouds, and the sun in the distance. If you are focusing on the distant cloud, do you see A or B?

@CodysLab I suspect it's one eye taking over. There is a test to see which eye is dominant by seeing for closing which eye a thumb at arms reach jumps when focusing on something behind. When it jumps thats the dominant one. It was the right side for me. Now i see both equally see through.

Like humans have two eyes, there are two images that are overlapped as in image "A" which is what I have always seen but apparently for most people their brains merge the image somehow to make Image "B" and I just can't wrap my mind around it. 🤯

@CodysLab Neither. It's more like A but where one eye can see whats behind its see through but still there. Like when I look at my spread fingers I see two sets of fingers and whats behind where the two don't overlap.

@KnuddelSkin No, I watched some videos after people started telling me the game has some Clonk vibes :)

This is a game I wanted to make my entire life! Can you guess games which have inspired me the most?

@watawatabou Looks good. Nice meandering. Maybe varying thickness depending on curvature, adding sandbanks on the inside of the curve and adding oxbow lakes elevates it further.

@FreyaHolmer I need to learn this arcane magic but every time I see examples like this my perceived understanding of it shrinks further 😭

@kitto_paint @alexriesart Its still too much hastle for me as i dont print miniatures but mostly larger mechanical parts. If i did then yes I would switch to a resin printer. Or rather If I had a safe space for it I would model and print minis. IPA jar and sun definitely is an option.

@the_tohmis @alexriesart I started with jar of IPA and a sunny day for post processing, takes a lot of time to harden in the sun, but hey, if its not many models, why hurry

@rehuanna @alexriesart My guess its to displace water when someone sits down ( the sacks are visible under the seat I think) so the buoyancy stays the same / similar enough or a generell balacing system to squeeze out water.

@MightofMe very nice. Do you choose a random direction for the rows or does it align so they are as long as possible?

Part 5 of my map making tools: A field. I have modified my plot tool so that a field can now also be placed and generated. I define the boundary via a path. Then I divide the surface into small parts and place texture along these parts. #indiegame #gamedev #indiedev

Part 3 of my map making toolbox shows my simple little forest tool. Instead of placing each tree individually or drawing a new area each time, I simply define an area where trees are randomly placed.

@MightofMe Looks good. The middle one shows some very close posts. Stretching all segments slightly if a minimum distance cant be reached would improve it further in my mind.

Part 1 of my map making tools I am currently working on: A fence. I use the path node in Godot. Along this path I place fence segments. The number of segments needed (especially for curves) is determined automatically to improve performance. I think it's simple but effective.

@CodysLab Obstructing the solar panels would not make it worth it I think along with the radiators. Esspecially if it should also shield against impacts instead of creating more shrapnel. Why not make every tool have tiny RCS thrusters so they can steer back to the station 😂

Watching this youtu.be/_FFNz2q7F88 I can't help but wonder if it would be worth it to put the space station inside a large mesh bag to catch things that are dropped. Wouldn't be that massive and it's not like it would hurt aerodynamics. Might even help shield against impacts.

This week has been very productive. Using spatial indexing, adding boid behaviour and a new enemy! Today was mostly optimization. Almost eliminating any stutters at over 3000 enemies. Still some room to improve but for a browser game I am satisfied for now. #screenshotsaturday

After implementing (frankly simple) spacial indexing system boids are now also implemented resulting in some nice emergent swarming behaviour and improved path finding. Any ideas for weapons agains these masses?

New Enemy First to use a distance attack and not a direct mele, although heavily shielded against front fire. Any idea what type of turret might work well against them?

Decided to continued working on my TD game. Loading times on startup have been reduced from minutes to seconds using webworkers and the pheromone system was changed in its entirety. Not sure if the new system is better. More testing required
