I was a state champion in the high jump in HS. I jumped 5'3". I did track in college (D3) and went to nationals. My PR is 5'6". This boy frequently bests my jumps, but when compared to other boys, he wouldn't even be worth mentioning. This needs to stop.
Jennifer Sey@JenniferSey

We made this a year ago. It’s still happening. But this year he’s winning all 3 jumping events. I’m dying to know which UC gave him an athletic scholarship on their women’s track team.

I know it's tempting to say: If you girls would just stand down and refuse to compete, this whole boys in girls sports thing would be fixed. It's not true. Many girls have stood down. Not every girl, all at once (which is an impossibility to coordinate across leagues and sports, etc). But I promise you, it's not the end all be all to end this. It's just not. And it puts all the onus on children. Children who only get a few seasons. To ask them -- all of them -- to give that up . . . because leaders, adults won't do the right thing? It's not right. We have an Executive Order. We have the biggest most important and influential sport governing body in the world, the IOC, saying they will protect women's sports. And we supposedly have 80% (at least) of Americans on the side of girls and women. And still, here we are. AB Hernandez won 3 events at CIF prelims over the weekend. If you really think girls are gonna get done what the President and the IOC cannot . . . you're wrong. What we need is the leaders of the sports governing bodies to do the right thing. And we need to call on them to do it. What we need is for the 80% of adults who have the common sense to know that boys should not be in girls' sports to stand up and say ENOUGH. The vast majority of them are still silent. Make it a non-starter for a coach to field a boy on a girls' team. Say something, anything. Make this absolutely unacceptable. Because it is. Girls, if you want to stand down, do it. I support you. So many do. If you compete, and also speak up about the unfairness, I and @xx_xyathletics are here to support you. And so many others. But the grown ass adults, the professional women athletes, the team owners, the league leaders, the coaches, the parents watching all of this unfold -- STEP UP. That's who we need to call on.

@salltweets And they schedule games like this because they know it will be a good challenge. They want to be challenged, and to be forced to okay more physically.

It isn’t humiliating at all, it’s to be completely expected: testosterone is very powerful. It doesn’t mean women are bad or less capable or unskilled. It just means that men & women’s sport is very different, based on biology, and so is played separately.

@JeromeAdamsMD Ah, but how many shots were considered fully vaccinated when I was a child compared to the number of shots my kids are required to get?

Ultimate irony?: The parents now skipping vaccines for their kids are almost all fully vaccinated themselves. They’re the first generation in history to have zero lived experience with measles, mumps, polio, or rubella… precisely because their parents vaccinated them. 🤔

@calvinrobinson Why do you have such disdain for women? We should look the way you want while we grieve, only step into our God given giftings if it fits the parameters you decide, etc.

Traditionally, a widow would wear black for the first year and avoid social events. A typical mourning period would last for two years, with a steady transition back into society. Nowadays, “everyone grieves differently.”

@dobssi @RibbRexer Calling me a clown is ineffective. I just want women’s sports and spaces to be for women. But, nice try.

Yes, biological men competing as women in parkrun are cheating. However, removing parkrun stats or asking their volunteers to police cheating would end up killing parkrun. Sometimes the cure is worse than the disease. Let this one be.

@dobssi It’s not blowing up parkrun to have men run in the men’s or unknown category. Just stay out of the women’s category. Where is your line then? When do you say it isn’t okay? And do something? Youth rec sports? Club sports? High school? None of them are the Olympics.

@theamytarnold Cool so let’s blow up parkrun then? Any bloke could cheat and run 4 laps instead of 5, or lie about his age and knock other men down the age grade rankings. But since it’s not the Olympics, and parkrun is a wonderful thing, I think sometimes you have to take a view.

@JeromeAdamsMD Then give us a single measles shot instead of the MMR. I bet you would see an increase in vaccination against measles.

A measles outbreak in South Carolina (993 cases, 20 hospitalizations, 5 months) cost an estimated $35.5M- about 6.7% of the state public health budget! Vaccinating the same group? Just $66K–$134K. Every $1 spent on vaccines could’ve saved $536. Prevention isn’t just smarter- it’s dramatically cheaper. Put another way, more measles outbreaks means higher taxes - for everyone. 🤷🏽‍♂️ americanactionforum.org/weekly-checkup…

@daeshikjr @BobStelton It was also $0 here last year. What used to be a draw and possible incentive is no longer one.

@Xzamilloh @xx_xyathletics @writersully What about in the 500 free where Lia Thomas came in first? The point is that he shouldn't have been allowed to compete in women's events as he is not a woman.

@xx_xyathletics @writersully Lia Thomas didn't displace anyone AGAIN.... Lia Thomas and Riley Gaines TIED for 5th place and were outpaced by 4 other cis women. Crazy that THEY didn't go out and make grift careers off of beating a trans woman.

When you consider everything they did to silence Riley, you realize why so many women & girls still fear speaking up. It also deepens your respect for those that bravely do it anyway, regardless of the price. And there’s always price.

Last year, we announced the Department of Health is processing all requests to change gender designation on birth certificates within 3 business days, down from as much as a 10 month wait. This week, I signed a bill ensuring Washingtonians can change the sex designation on their state IDs and birth certificates without fear of violating their privacy. Washington state is committed to protecting the rights of transgender and gender diverse people. That includes their legal right to reflect their gender on these documents. Thanks to prime sponsor Sen. Pedersen.

I only have brothers so I do not understand this fever pitch conflict constantly erupting in my house. Moms with multiple daughters close in age, please tell me: how do I stop them from fighting over clothes? They are two and four and I wanna nip this nonsense in the bud.

@lecrae When you use she/her pronouns for someone who is not female - you are then agreeing with their delusion that anyone can be a woman. So, if you think women are worth protecting you don’t use preferred pronouns

She waited for me. Overnight. I had to get the kids to school, then I could head to her. She waited. I arrived, held her hand, talked to her. Kissed her forehead. Maybe 10 minutes. She was ready to go. Then she stopped breathing. I held her hand.
