Every person has a story to tell, and AI can help them tell it. We're seeing this firsthand at @typedotai. We now serve writers ranging from NY Times bestsellers, to top 10 podcasters, to nearly 10k passionate independent authors. We've been ~doubling revenue each quarter and active subscribers now spend 7+hours/week in our editor. So we made this video to honor the intensely creative people we serve. Here's to the storytellers :)

Look at this image for 10 seconds. Each dot = 3.2 million people. The whole grid = 8.1 billion humans. The grey? 6.8 billion people who have never opened ChatGPT. The green strip? 1.3 billion free users. The yellow sliver? 15–25 million paying $20/mo. The red dot in the corner? 2–5 million builders. If you're reading this, you're in that red dot. Your entire perception of "mainstream AI" comes from a bubble almost invisible on this chart. This is what 2005 internet looked like. Every massive company you use today was built in the years after that moment. We are at that moment. Right now. keep building

The LDL and oxidized LDL debate is fascinating because most people have no idea what their actual numbers are. They eat seed oils for years, never check their lipid panel, then wonder why their cardiovascular risk is high. Your blood test tells the whole story — most people just never learn to read it.

The evolutionary argument against eating seed oils | Layne Norton, Ph.D. (@biolayne) This clip is from episode # 380 of The Drive which was released on 1/19/26. In the full episode, we cover: -The core arguments against seed oils: the four main claims underlying the idea that seed oils are uniquely harmful, and how well they hold up once major confounders are addressed -The historical trials that shaped the debate: the Minnesota Coronary Experiment, Sydney Diet Heart Study, Rose Corn Oil trial, and later studies replacing saturated fat with polyunsaturated fat -Mechanisms and causality: LDL cholesterol, oxidized LDL, linoleic acid (omega-6), inflammation, -Mendelian randomization, and why lifetime LDL exposure matters more than per-particle oxidation risk -Practical takeaways: industrial processing concerns, cooking oils, real-world dietary fat choices, and how to prioritize nutrition relative to calories, activity, and overall lifestyle factors Listen (Ep. # 380) to the full episode on my website (peterattiamd.com/laynenorton4/) or your favorite podcast player.

The most dangerous thing in life isn't failure. It's arriving at the end with a boring story. I wake up every day knowing I have one shot to build something real — the companies, the charities, the body, the life. Not because someone is watching. But because I owe it to myself to find out how far I can actually go. Muhammad Ali didn't become The Greatest by playing it safe. Neither will you. Neither will I.

Every founder goes through this curve. Start → peak confidence. "I have the best idea in the world." Then reality hits. The more you learn, the less confident you feel. That's the Valley of Despair. Most quit here. The ones who don't? They reach the Plateau of Sustainability. Same path. Different decision.

Life is so short that you can't waste even a day subscribing to what someone thinks you can do versus knowing what you can do. And that's like the switch.
