@Stretchedwiener I've also found that watching multiple tutorials tackling the same topic is also helpful. there are a lot of outdated and just plain bad tutorials out there.

Counter intuitive tip for learning new software: Watch a few videos without "following along" - sit back and let the info wash over you. Don't try to learn. It's okay to do something else, draw, clean, whatever. The point is to sneak past "total alien unfamiliarity" where into the zone of "oh that? I've heard of it".

@alexriesart I use the little legs on the cintiq to give just enough room for a k120 keyboard underneath. Moving the cintiq or keeping the keyboard off to the side was wrecking my back and arm over time.

@MacSmithArt Hold on, need to compare myself to some other folks who are way better at beating themselves up first.

Spent the week drawing a whole lot of stuff I don't often draw, and it kind of broke my brain a few times. A creative challenge is always a good thing, though, especially once you get to the other side of it 🙂 Til then, here's 2 little inky aliens.
