@TSBSchm @DanGraur Officially my "Van" is capitalised. Since moving to Europe I've noticed that it's unusual and wondered if this is 'wrong'. (maybe it became capitalised when my grandparents registered in Canada?) But I am case insensitive and I hope journal indexing is too

To German and Dutch speakers. Is there a rule concerning the capitalization or non-capitalization of "von" ("Von") or "van" ("Van") in family names. In citations I see, the usage seems to be inconsistent.
