Ken Griffin went home on a Friday "fairly depressed" after watching AI agents at Citadel do work that used to take teams of PhDs in finance months to complete. Done in days. His words: "These are not mid-tier white collar jobs. These are extraordinarily high skilled jobs being automated by agentic AI." This is the head of one of the most successful hedge funds in history saying the people he pays seven figures to analyze markets and structure deals are being replaced by software that works in hours instead of months. Not theoretically. In his own office. Right now. The Coatue deck we covered earlier this week called agents "the biggest unlock" in AI. Griffin just confirmed it from the buy side. The shift from copilots to agents is not a future event. It is already happening at the highest levels of finance.

@PeterSchiff Big claims like ‘market manipulation’ or calling Donald Trump delusional are easy—but without proof, it’s still speculation. What’s undeniable is that statements on geopolitics can shake markets instantly, and that alone is a real concern

The most likely explanation for Trump's Truth Social lies about Iran on Friday, is market manipulation. If so, Trump insiders must have made billions. The next likely possibility is that Trump is either delusional, incompetent, or a combination of both. Either way it's not good.

The reporter asked a simple question: "When will we see you in a movie in the lead role?" Abhishek Bachchan is acting so innocent, as if he knows absolutely nothing. It is precisely this arrogance and his constant attempt to act overly smart that caused him to fail in his career.

This ranking is absurd. This might be one of the most bizarre rankings Cricinfo has published in years. srkl.in/6009BAfopc One of the most baffling premises in Anantha Narayanan’s piece is the claim that “longevity should not dominate the process.” Convenient premise - because without discounting longevity, there’s no plausible way to push Sachin Tendulkar down to fifth. Discounting longevity conveniently undermines someone like Sachin Tendulkar, a player who performed at the top level for nearly 24 years, played 200 Tests, scored 15,921 runs, and produced 51 centuries while maintaining an average above 50 across multiple eras of bowlers and conditions. The argument that the “strength of India’s batting lineup during long periods of his career” somehow pushes him down the list is even more perplexing. Discounting his greatness because India later had Dravid, Laxman, Ganguly and Sehwag completely ignores the reality of the era in which he built his legacy. Anyone who watched cricket in the 1990s knows the opposite was true. For much of that decade, Tendulkar was India’s batting lineup. Opposition teams built entire strategies around dismissing him early because once he fell, collapses often followed. And if we are talking about numbers, the very language of this ranking, three points are impossible to ignore: * Tendulkar scored more runs and centuries than any batter in Test history while maintaining elite consistency. * He succeeded in every major cricketing nation, including Australia and South Africa, historically the toughest places for subcontinent batters. * He faced and thrived against multiple generations of elite bowlers across two decades. When a ranking system has to minimize longevity, dilute historical context, and lean on selective framing just to place Tendulkar fifth behind Sangakkara and Joe Root, the problem is not the player. The problem is the framework. Data can illuminate cricket. But when the model itself bends reality to produce a controversial outcome, it starts looking less like analysis and more like statistical theatre. @bhogleharsha @RohitRainaRR @Loyalsachfan10 @BhushanManmath @CricTendulkar @CrickeTendulkar

@AdamSants_ @SydneyChinyadza He’s absolutely NOT correct. This is hindsight bias After SA beat India in super 8s many people, @MichaelVaughan included, doubted India and thought they were no longer favorites. I don’t blame them at that stage but surely SA weren’t that concerned about India threat then

@SydneyChinyadza He's not correct. Aside from being match fixing, after beating India well what sort of message would it be to say "we're so scared of playing this team we've just beat again that we won't secure our own qualification today just to knock them out".

SA has lost twice to the Netherlands in recent ICC events. Vaughan here is suggesting that they should have thrown a game v WI to eliminate India, then stake their own qualification on a one off game v Zimbabwe, fresh off wins v Australia & SL. Some might call that stupid.
Cricketopia@CricketopiaCom

Michael Vaughan calls South Africa the “stupidest team of the T20 World Cup” after their win over West Indies kept India’s semi-final hopes alive, following India’s victory against Zimbabwe. Do you agree with him?

@rushiii_12 Hey crazy thought, and hear me out, but do you think….team selection could mayyybe have been based on the pitches they knew they were gonna play on?! You think if it was bowling pitches outside we wouldn’t have drafted kuldeep and/or Siraj? Varun wdnt have been 10x better?!?

5/ And on the Strait of Hormuz, they had NO PLAN. I can't go into more detail about how Iran gums up the Strait, but suffice it say, right now, they don't know how to get it safely back open. Which is unforgiveable, because this part of the disaster was 100% foreseeable.
