@WaxandWrigley I carry 250k policy for “collectibles” in my policy. It covers paintings, cards, comics, books, games, and a few other items. Anytging else has to be listed and lined in.

I am gutted. A $7k card got stolen on its way to authentication. Massive loss for me considering my insurance policy doesn’t go into effect until next week. Fuck man it was going so well. If you have any leads on this please let me know.

Here is something with which all Chicago residents should be racked by anxiety. Yesterday, as CFD battled a fire at 74th and Yates in South Shore, the Battalion Chief declared an extra alarm and requested a tower ladder. Woefully, the closest tower ladder available across the entire city was located at Grace and Damen. This ladder traveled 156 blocks — some TWENTY MILES — to respond to the extra alarm. This is an utter outrage. Of the ten tower ladders in Chicago, 5, 10, 16, 24, 39, and 54, all are out of service. At the moment, only four tower ladders are in service, TLs 14, 21, 23, and 63, all of which are stationed on the North and West Sides of the city. This leaves the whole of the South Side of Chicago —which unfortunately experiences a higher number of fires — without sufficient equipment to fight large-scale fires. This shortage of equipment is inexcusable and undeniably imperils residents whose taxes pay for fire protection. This equipment shortage also creates dangerous conditions for CFD called on to fight fires. So, now that you know, @ChicagosMayor, are you going to do something about this?

All Commercial Driver’s Licenses for undocumented immigrants in the state of Indiana will expire at midnight on Wednesday for those unable to provide proper visas. Moving forward, all future non-citizen CDL applications will need one of three approved work visas while also requiring the driver to demonstrate proficiency in English. In addition, any employers who knowingly hire illegal drivers without a valid CDL will face a $50,000 fine. This is a great first step in making our streets safer for Hoosiers. Now it’s our duty to enforce these new laws and prevent any more senseless deaths.

It takes overtime, but these jobs move quick and need to be built. 6-10's/7-12's isnt uncommon. With Per Diems, people can clear 300k in major union markets.
