During a very dark period, what was the best thing you ever did for your mental health?

@WithoutHistory Who owns the World Bank and IMF, the world government?
Who runs the world government?
Not a monopoly?
The World Bank and IMF are monopoly agents preaching about not wanting monopoly.
It's so obvious who the enemy is.

Guess who is opposing Dangote’s proposal to build a 1.2M barrels a day refinery in east Africa (Tanzania, Kenya and Congo)
World Bank and IMF. : )))
Their argument? it would give monopoly to one company over energy.
1) All the while, French refineries are in almost every oil producing countries in Africa.
2) No African countries could get a loan to build a refinery larger than 400,000 barrels per day (one of the most profitable businesses ever). So the majority are small and struggle for profitability.
3) Nigeria oil had to be exported to Europe, refined and in many cases sold back to Nigeria and ECOWAS countries, under companies like shell and total.
4) it took until a billionaire financed the refinery in Nigeria himself to change part of that production and supply pipeline. And today, after the Hormuz blockade, EU countries are now buying oil from Dangote.

@Ayjosh017Jay @AfricaFirsts I don't really have much info on the cement industry and trade policies in Nigeria as of now.
But to assume, what are describing likely goes down to the government policies.
English

@thebmnbloc @AfricaFirsts Oh really ?? I guess that is why cement is selling for 14,000 Naira a bag…y’all might say logistics or taxes but every year ends they keep declaring trillions in profits why 90% of Nigeria is suffering housing prices hike…Nigeria gov. shld give cement importation license to ppl

@VitalikButerin @pwlot 4.(2). The Aliens. Are the Aliens necessarily originally from a different a different world?
Couldn't they possibly be normal people who gatekept/hid secrets of the Universe?
English

My basic reason to believe that consciousness is substrate-independent is:
1. Brains, humans and the Earth are part of the universe and so follow laws of physics
2. The laws of physics can be simulated. It requires perfectly knowing the starting conditions, and a lot of computation, but the simulation will do the same thing that an equivalent "real" system will do
3. Human beings write long screeds arguing about consciousness. This is clear evidence that we are in fact conscious. It's not an airtight proof, but it would severely violate Occam's razor if our brains had circuitry that represented a concept like consciousness without actually being conscious. (LLMs break this rule because they were trained on human-produced data)
4. By (2), it's theoretically possible (for an alien who sees the initial conditions of Earth, but not the whole history up to and including humans themselves) to simulate on a computer the entire history of Earth, which would contain the whole process of evolution, and at the end would contain a result that includes human-shaped entities that write long screeds arguing about consciousness. And by the same argument as (3), those entities would thus almost certainly be conscious
What part of this would you disagree with?

@Supremebeingfgs @_fels1 @Drop0ut001 It's obvious bro, he said sheep. You know what sheep does. They follow, obey meaning their unity isn't theirs in the first place. It's a scripted form of unity.

@_fels1 @Drop0ut001 A 100 bull can
A 100 cow can
A 100 zebra can
I don’t understand your ideology using only sheep, are you a 100 sheep?
