hey @CallofDuty i just exfilled MW3 zombies with a TON of gear and my player has absolutely 0 things saved. was in the helicopter, full health, full armor, and it didn’t save any of my level 2 or 3 gear. HELP. what the hell. #glitch

“Taking the Lord’s name in vain” isn’t about saying “oh my god” when you’re frustrated. It’s about using the name of Jesus to justify oppression, marginalization and violence. It’s about calling yourself a Christian without doing the work of Christ—justice, liberation and love.

but living in a “christian” nation that caters to profiting off of war, marginalizing immigrants, LGBTQ+, and other minorities while grabbing for power and showing immense greed will never align with the teachings of jesus, or the acknowledgement that god is alive in all things

aside from all of these thoughts, the notion that America needs to be a christian nation just continues to make me laugh out of coping for how ridiculous that sounds. kingdom > empire if you believe in jesus like you so loudly claim, believe in what he stood for. or don’t.

really bumming me out that one of the largest and loudest voices “for jesus” is so spiritually bankrupted and politically intwined and corrupted that what actually matters about jesus looks the same. people bastardizing jesus and baptizing him in greed, power, and convenience

I just keep thinking about that time Jesus wept over Jerusalem because they “didn’t know the things that would lead to peace.” For decades, the state of Israel has been crushing the people of Gaza and the West Bank, doing things that do not lead to peace. In response, Hamas has chosen to terrorize and kill people, doing things that also do not lead to peace. Now Israel is returning the harm, dropping bombs and killing women and children, which certainly does not lead to peace. I’m pretty sure Jesus is weeping over Jerusalem… and Gaza… right now. Maybe we should be weeping with him. Let us each take a moment to pause and pray… Let’s ask ourselves and our God, what are the things that lead to peace? What does love require of us at such a time as this? What does it look like to resist injustice without mirroring injustice? What does it look like to stand against terror without becoming terrible? What does it look like to choose the way of the cross rather than the sword, and to follow the enemy-loving Jesus, the Prince of Peace?
