@JoelWebbon It's OK, they will separate and start a new church since it's a 'hopeless' case, it's not like they did that before or something

The Presbyterian Church of America (PCA) had a reputation of being “the conservative one” not even a decade ago. But over the last few years, they’ve developed the reputation of sliding into liberalism at breakneck speed, refusing to discipline “gay Christian” pastors, or churches having female, pro-gay clergy preach to their congregations. It’s become a denomination that’s perfectly fine with a Cultural Marxist like Tim Keller, but driving out of its midst pastors who make female congregants nervous by being a little too honest about what the Bible says regarding gender roles. Now, one more PCA pastor is gone, and the exhibits used to convict him include Facebook posts in which he wasn’t charitable enough toward Russell Moore and David French. Welcome to today’s PCA, which is basically indistinguishable from yesterday’s PCUSA. Appleton taught that a wife - hold on to your pants, because it’s going to get crazy - is of “lower rank” than her husband. He taught that husbands function as kings who rule and govern their wives, and that they operate in something like a prophetic and priestly role toward them. He said Eve’s transgression had consequences for womankind as a sex. He said a single woman’s calling, absent marriage, is to find a husband. These are, of course, all fundamentally true things, and a generation ago, would not have been controversial at all. They are not different teachings from those common in the PCA, but he did speak them differently. He spoke and/or wrote them without the fear and trembling with which they are ordinarily spoken. Pastors are supposed to pontificate, equivocate, and apologize when teaching these things. Appleton taught them like he was actually proud of what the Bible taught, not like “sticky subjects” sandwiched between long-winded explanations to help them be more palatable to a congregation full of feminists. What is happening inside the PCA is only slightly different than during John Knox’s era. He wrote of queens who ran the kingdom. Today, it’s queens who run the church. It is a Women’s Ministry Coordinator drafting theological concerns about a Titus 2 sermon and having it accepted as evidence in a heresy trial, while the men who ordained her pastor sit on the commission that convicts him for being a tad too enthusiastic for and not apologetic enough about the Bible’s clear teaching. Watching the PCA fights on X has also been instructive, with an army of militant women and the men who stand behind them, lauding the PCA for its “courage and decisive action.” Some, already looking for “who’s next,” are essentially scouring social media to find another PCA pastor who has tweeted something that might raise the hackles of the women in their congregation. Some on X are already making suggestions, and positing anonymous accounts that may or may not be run by PCA pastors. A big, bloody chum bucket has been thrown into the water, and sharks are already circling.

@WFCPreacher @AlexDuncanTX God is incapable of hating anybody, it's the phrasing and word usage that makes it sound this way especially Hebrew is an old language Plus I said already, biblical "hate" is "loved less" since God said in many other places that he both hate the righteous and the wicked

For Pete’s sake -Jesus is God -Saying the N word to a kid is trashy/sinful but not a crime -Women can speak on theological things and don’t need to be silent all the time -church order doesn’t apply to X or any social media -Men are not superior to women -Mary isn’t Jesus’ secretary -criminalizing speech is communist -speaking to women like they are not even human is not what Christ ever did -sitting online with an anon account hating on women is effeminate actually and *possibly* closeted porn addict or closeted 🏳️‍🌈 behavior. This app is a total Disaster today.

@CatholicDrip___ All faithful Christians are the elect It's not hard for us to say that one We simply say and believe that we shouldn't claim with certainty who in particular is an elect or not, since it's only up to God So I don't get the "dunk" Now why add none Christian heretics tho?

@MasterMaliq He died the greatest way any Christian can dream of; a martyr and a saint St. Paul suffered all kinds of inequities to spread, defend and keep the faith and he did....he did 2 Timothy 4:7 ESV "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."
