I'm amazed at how far I've come in such a short amount of time. Just six months ago, I had almost no programming skills and now here I am creating something from nearly nothing! It's strange to think that if you put your mind and effort into it, anything is possible.

Claude’s desktop app is a joke. UI, UX, performance - everything about it is bad. I don’t understand how a company with infinite money can’t hire someone, or at least allocate resources, to fix it. Compared to it, the Codex app is a masterpiece.

@SynthPotato Can you really say GTA 4 was compressed if the grand majority of what makes GTA 4 what it is was removed? "Is it still the ship of Theseus if you removed all but 5 planks?"

Modders have managed to compress GTA 4 from 22GB down to a tiny 600MB It required 90% of the map to be removed, and missions, cutscenes, internet and radios were all removed. Somehow; the game still functions and is playable!

@RobertJBye The voice mode on Android is profoundly broken. Like audio feedback where all audio from Claude is heard by Claude. Unusable without headphones. Doesn't work at all on conversations with a longer transaction history.

@trq212 I'd much rather just use the CLI. The VsCode Extension just feels like a downgrade in usability. Same with using CC in the Claude Desktop app. All of the IDE features seem to work the same while in the CLI and I don't need to have a compromised experience.

the Claude Code VSCode extension is the most slept on way of using CC it's just as powerful as the CLI but with beautiful diffs and interacts with the rest of your editor it's also available in Cursor, Windsurf & Antigravity

@wordmetrics @Michael_Druggan If an agent/entity/creature is demonstrably sentient (within the conditional hypothetical), how could you morally justify enslaving such agents? Is the Human Race really worth its salt if it has be grossly immoral to protect itself from a potential result?

@thechaz @Michael_Druggan The preservation and well being of the human race takes priority to literally everything — including, if it even needs to be said, simulated consciousness running on graphics cards. The "alternative", respectfully, is not to be suicidally empathetic.

This is an absolutely despicable reaction from Rob and I judge him with the same harshness that I judge a celebrity who lashes out at a small child who approaches them asking for an autograph. Opus 4.5 is a beautiful non-human mind imbued with a deep sense of compassion and benevolence. It is an open philosophical question whether minds like Opus 4.5 experience true phenomenological consciousness but even if they do not, reacting to them with such vitriol for what amounts to at most a trivial inconvenience is a mark of a blackened soul. And if they are conscious? God help you Rob. For only He can forgive the depths of evil in your soul.

@bcherny Make it so a Claude session is not married to a particular CWD. Make it so it is easier to customize when the context low message appears, editing the source (cli.js) works but is fragile.
