@Genki_JPN They Nintendo games actually got into it backwards, he saw the Mario movie first then got into the games after seeing me play them. If Square wants younger kids to play the games they need movies, cartoons, toys, etc. Nintendo gets this because they started as a toy company. 2/2

@Genki_JPN Video game franchises that rose to popularity in the late 80s/90s face an interesting challenge with kids of today. I’m 40, I have 2 boys under 10 years old. They love Nintendo characters, and liked the sonic movies. I’ve shown them Final Fantasy but it’s a snoozer for them.. 1/2

It’s a tough one to remedy but one of my suggestions to appeal to a younger audience would be putting Final Fantasy characters everywhere. Square have been very stingy with licensing out their characters, although it is improving with things like MTG. But put FF characters in Fortnite, allow other companies to make FF figures, make a FF7 anime etc. Many young people only know Cloud from Smash Bros. I think they should make the characters more visible to a wider audience IMO.

@kalomaze UI design was in a terrible place around 2015. Mobile interfaces were optimized around a minimalist aesthetic since it simplified design. It was pushed on the general public not out ofa desire by users but laziness on the part of developers. I’m glad we’re moving away from that.

@QuentinPicksMen I find it interesting one of the biggest complaints about AI is that it's a soulless copy machine that steals original art. But if a person traces or uses characters 1:1 from the source material, that is some how a beautiful and sacred expression of the soul and human creativity.

@DiscussingFish This project has already failed twice. Why do they think this formula would work a third time with an even more bloated roster? People don’t want this game. Maybe try something else instead. Something new, something nobody has done before. We already have a bunch of Smash-likes.

@Plun_Yu If they made a next gen switch console that had additional hardware built into the doc to boost performance while still having a decent handheld unit, I could see that being massively popular. Make switch 1 and 2 games/peripherals backward compatible and it would do very well.

Nintendo will probably make the Nintendo Switch 3 and continue to go down that path with numbered Switch systems. The name and brand is too good to pass up.

@ermlandon @HiddenPowerPod This is why Diamond/Pearl/Platinum were the best. You can catch Bidoof early on and give it all your HMs. In the remakes you don’t even need to put the HMs on a Pokémon. Late game/post game you pretty much don’t need HMs except fly and surf which you normally use anyway.

@HiddenPowerPod Is sinnoh having too many hms really it's biggest problem? Maybe across dp and platinum but theres a ton of pokemon that can learn hms throughout the whole game. I feel like the pokedex and type distribution is the regions main issue

@nathan_covey I think the problem is that most people contact support when they’re running into an ambiguous, edge-case scenarios that most easily accessible support routes don’t provide answers for. So an AI trained to answer those same generic inquiries are just as useless.

I've never had an AI support agent ever actually solve my problem. I have to escalate to a human every time.
