I just arrived at my Airbnb and took a moment to look around and look what I noticed. I think it would have been helpful if they mentioned this to me over the phone. I was literally with the manager just a few minutes ago. Her phone is busy right now, but I sent her this photo. I saw that she saw it, but she totally ignored it. Okay, be honest. What is the wildest thing you’ve ever seen somebody doing while driving? 😄 Years ago this month, I was driving north on the interstate and started catching up to a slower car ahead of me. As I got closer, I noticed the vehicle was drifting just a little within its lane. That caught my attention, so I decided to pass it and take a look over as I came alongside. When I pulled up next to the car, I could see the driver was seated in a strange position. At first, I honestly could not figure out what I was looking at. Then I saw it !!!! 👀 A younger lady was driving down the interstate with one leg up on the seat, shaving her leg while behind the wheel! 😱 About that time, she glanced over. And there I was. In uniform. In a patrol car. Right beside her. The moment she realized who was next to her, she quickly tossed that razor onto the passenger seat, sat straight up, grabbed the steering wheel with both hands, and stared straight ahead like she had been the safest driver in Kansas all day long. 😄😄 Now I want to know… What is the wildest thing you’ve ever seen somebody doing while driving? 🤔

Maybe, just maybe, electing a lifelong-incompetent & proudly-fraudulent criminal as president not just once but twice was a poor choice. And it’s going to destroy us unless all and I mean all good people across party divide unite, denounce, & root out Trumpism in all forms

@MCCCANM That is a narrow slot to follow! Really like reading your description and that of some of the commentors. I read recently about the Canarsie approach at JFK also being a nice - different - challenge.

The “River Visual” approach to runway 19 at DCA is one of the most fun approaches you can fly in an airliner. Essentially, it’s a twisting & descending flight path – flown visually by following the Potomac – that rolls out aligned w/ runway 19 only at the very last second. You can back up the visual with a GPS overlay to give you some guidance, and it’s your choice to fly it by hand or not, but I recommend hand flying…sometimes automation isn’t managed well on this kind of an approach. Do not go East of the River, or you’re in restricted & prohibited airspace. A common error is not managing your speed & altitude well, resulting in being too high & fast when you roll out at the last second to align with the runway, resulting in a go-around. I see this regularly when waiting to takeoff. I recommend passengers keep the window shade open; the left side gets a great view of the city, but it’s neat from both sides.

@UltimateMopars Snow tires were a winter ritual. If snow tires didn't cut it, you used studded snow tires. If that didn't get you through the snow, extra weight in the trunk. If you STILL got stuck, you bought a Chrysler with Sure Grip, and carried on your merry way.

WHAT DID YOU DO TO HELP WITH TRACTION? One way, fill the tank up! We all had rear wheel drive but somehow made it through the snow.
