don't get too excited, I still think Israel has every right to attack Hezbollah, and Hezbollah needs to integrate the Lebanese army
But in the past couple of weeks, Israel went way too far and crossed many lines, that I'm now more critical than ever of their foreign policy in Lebanon and Syria (and of course Gaza, wihch I've always been critical of)

@SamjhNai It’s a step in the right direction. Gives US an off-ramp it desperately wants and gives a push back to Israel’s positioning of “no possibility of a cease-fire”. A violation on the Israeli side pushes Trump further away from the Zionist lobby and gives Iran more credibility.

Not sure why people are celebrating a 2 week ceasefire in Iran. A pause isn’t peace. If history has taught us anything, it’s that US & Israeli commitments don’t mean anything. Just look at what’s still happening in Palestine despite the ‘ceasefire’

The proposal is straightforward: an immediate ceasefire, reopening the Strait of Hormuz, and a 15-20 day window to finalize a broader agreement, with final talks planned in Islamabad under what’s being called the “Islamabad Accord.” But Iran is not agreeing under pressure. Tehran has received messages through Pakistan, Turkey, and Egypt, yet its position is clear: it will not reopen Hormuz in exchange for a temporary ceasefire, it rejects imposed timelines, and it wants guarantees that it will not be attacked again by the U.S. or Israel. Iran maintains that those guarantees are not currently on the table. So the situation is stuck.
