@fmcomment @MaryKenny4 Much of the rot stems from the court actions that have stymied the Carlton/Moore St.end . They have frozen 25 per cent of the street. Can't blame the protestors of course.

I believe the rot in O’Connell St started with the Spire. Its cold, anti-human and steely composition transmits anonymity. Nelson’s Pillar had a human narrative. (Nelson could have been replaced by an Irish historical personality - keeping a human story.)
