When these police officers appeared in court last week, it was said one of them had a conviction for reckless driving and culpable homicide. His lawyer said the conviction for reckless driving was expunged, it was ten years ago, and he was never convicted for culpable homicide. But we know how they temper with cases anyway.
The other one had another case pending, related to another tender within SAPS. He was out on bail already when he was picked up for this Medicare24 one .
So we have rogue police, with criminal records. You can just imagine how many others are still in the system. We really need a total reset of SAPS, a clean up. I hope #MadlangaCommission recommendations will address what the SAPS leadership needs to do for a proper clean up. We don't even trust our Police anymore. They are thugs.
