📈 The Premier League: record viewers, record contempt. 🙄 I read millions of fan posts this season. The honest finding: fans are falling out of love with the product. Not their clubs. The product. VAR is the most-criticised category across nearly half the league every single week. Commentary gets torched on every broadcast. Players now appeal for a corner like it's a penalty — and fans have noticed. Nobody is walking away. They're just staying to complain. I find the story the data tells, not the one the pundits sell. Football keeps overcomplicating the thing fans fell in love with. Forest put five past Sunderland playing a 4-4-2. The formation every pundit declared dead. Simple football. Two up front. Players running and fighting. It worked. One fan kept it simple: "4-4-2 works. Dave Bassett knew." Still, VAR disallowed a goal at 0-4 🙄
