@JamesSurowiecki Left/Right is too simplistic. Harris didn't lose because she was "too liberal". She lost because she was seen as too corporate and too "insider". She lost because she didn't seem genuine and no one really knew what she stood for. Her "liberalism" had nothing to do with it.

All the people saying that Lucasfilm should de-canonize the Sequel Trilogy and make the Zahn trilogy as movies need to explain how you're supposed to make a movie set five years after Return of the Jedi with Luke, Han, and Leia still as young as they were at the end of ROTJ without recasting (which they'd reject), without CGI/AI (which they'd reject), and in live action in 2026.

Why? The cost to the Niners of keeping Aiyuk on the roster right now is trivial. As long as they cut him before Sept. 1, they'll owe him nothing. Why release him?
