for the record here's my personal top ten based off games i have played and loved. there's a lot of things that are missing but its bc i just haven't gotten around to playing them yet. a lot of the games ive spent tons of time on suck ass (rainbow six siege, ark, for honor)

i feel like we gotta pick whether we're ranking games based on lasting quality or innovation because when we rank based on impact it becomes kind of hard to have a reasoned list that isn't mostly made up of these games

@beachgayz but also if you go off lasting influence you could argue that PT was heavily influenced by the original Silent Hill, since influence as a metric just leads to the games that did things first / invented genres. to conclude PT is clearly a ripoff of 1982 classic 3D Monster Maze

@beachgayz I wrote this at 4 in the morning but pt is fair, I just kind of wrote RE1 & RE4 and called it a day. as to fnaf if we're going off impact you could argue Sit & Survive deserves to take its spot which is kind of why I don't think pioneering a genre is the best metric

@tammywitdabammy everything influenced by quake you could argue was also influenced / inspired by Doom, which inspired quake, so it supersedes quake for the list, which is why this metric sucks and leads to including shit like pong and tetris

@aucklandir @FirstDoctor your immune system recognizes the dead virus and basically adds it to its catalogue of diseases for which It produces antibodies, and the pre-made antibodies aid that process while also buying you time by helping fight off rabies while your body builds its own antibodies.

@aucklandir @FirstDoctor no, because your body has effectively no time to prepare to defend itself against the incubated virus, as while it is dormant you aren't able to build antibodies effectively. the vaccine uses a sample of the virus which has already been killed alongside custom-made antibodies
