GitHub Copilot is really amazing. I used to spend hours writing error-prone & sometimes incorrect code manually, but now, that error-prone incorrect code is automatically generated in seconds.
Subtle #Python bug I missed in code review:
assert sorted(dict1) == sorted(dict2)
The author thought it was needed, as dicts are/were unsorted, and they looked different when printing.
Doesn't seem bad? It only compares the keys!
sorted({"a": 23}) == sorted({"a": 42}) → True
@richburroughs@TedMoondust How do other executives stay sharp? They started out more brilliant? Stories of BillG code reviews from the mid aughts for example.
Cyclists are a road hazard and should be required by law, for example... to yeld to pedestrians.
They should also need a basic education and a license (?)
Literally the no.1 hazard on roads in Cambridge, UK are cyclists.
@egavactip But at some point you have to conceded that /some/ of those who work forces... ;) Thanks for your hard work btw. You are far stronger than I could be.
I got called a "bootlicker" today. I've been called that by people on both right/left.
For the record, I am not a "bootlicker."
A lickspittle, perhaps. A dogsbody, maybe. Arguably, a lackey. Absolutely an apple-polisher. A sycophant, sure.
But absolutely no "bootlicker."
@mitsuhiko It would make sense. They denied for 60 years but now that it's undeniable they need to make supporting radical climate action itself look bad. "It's real but there's nothing we can do, look at these crazy fools."
