@robinsongreig and I made an audio time capsules app. Record a voice memo and send it to your future self. Give it a try: talktyl.com No ads, no sneaky AI transcription. Just your voice, beamed magically into the future.

Show me what you’ve built with vibe-coding. 👇 Products. Startups. Side projects. I want to see how crazy far this thing can go.

Had a fun, wide-ranging chat @moretothat about writing, illustration, parenting, philosophy, envy, self-reflection, physical intuition, and self-publishing. I thoroughly enjoyed his book, The Inner Compass. Highly recommended 📖 youtu.be/w1xSSRCXjjg

@ungatedlife No beef, just not this particular approach. I talk to llms but this is more of a pure audio thing. Future you is the ultimate AI.

have been enjoying doing my morning pages/stream of consciousness stuff with dictation instead of hand or keyboard writing feels like the spoken word flows more naturally, accesses different parts of me, and results in insights that wouldn't come out via normal writing

Steve Schlafman (@schlaf) is using a $20 @ChatGPTapp subscription to expand his consciousness. He’s doing this through: - Advanced dream work—Steve records himself talking about his dreams every morning, uploads the transcript to ChatGPT, and prompts the LLM to analyze it like a Jungian dream analyst would. The model pulls out archetypes and hidden emotions that he would’ve been oblivious to. - Creating living records of meaningful experiences—Instead of losing key insights from therapy or coaching, Steve uses the LLM to highlight emotional patterns, pick out recurring symbols, and build a personal growth timeline. - Leaning into voice interfaces—Diagnosed with ADD as a child, Steve often lost track of ideas because his brain processed information faster than he could type or write it out. AI voice interfaces free him to process information in a way that’s more natural to him. Steve is a former VC-turned-executive coach and the founder of @downshift, the “decelerator” for founders and executives. If you think this episode is too “woo” for your liking, Steve argues that you might be over-indexing on just one way of experiencing the world. We see the world through four windows: thinking, sensing, feeling, and imagining—and according to him, the last two are often ignored. So if your rational mind has always run the show, Steve invites you to let your feelings and imagination take the lead. This is a must watch for anyone interested in using AI to understand themselves better—and grow. Watch below! Timestamps: 1. Introduction: 00:01:07 2. The power of treating your startup as an evolving entity: 00:03:00 3. Building a business as a means of self-expression: 00:05:27 4. Prompting ChatGPT to do Jungian dream work: 00:17:45 5. Why you should listen to this episode, especially if it feels too “woo’” for you: 00:21:44 6. Visualizing Steve’s dream with ChatGPT: 00:36:31 7. Creating living records of meaning experiences with AI: 00:47:38 8. If you tend to think faster than you can type, lean into voice interfaces: 00:49:37 9. How Steve writes with AI: 00:52:13 10. How AI will disrupt traditional coaching and therapy: 00:54:03

@moretothat Super scary. Really admire your ability to find the hidden gifts and wisdom in life's experiences, even amid the painful and awful ones. Wishing for a smooth recovery!

A few weeks ago, I fainted and my head struck concrete. I was rushed to the ER and the recovery period was rough, but during this time, I thought a lot about what it means to overcome setbacks. Today's new post is on how everything will be okay: moretothat.com/everything-wil…

@moretothat I have great nostalgia for summer boredom as a child. It always seemed to be the spark that led to new adventures and surprisingly fun learning.

The antidote to boredom is to actively seek it at various moments in your life. By giving yourself the space to do nothing, you cease looking outward for novel experiences, and look inward to uncover the meaning that can be found within the nuances of your mind.

One of my first Figma mockups from 2020. Looking back, I lacked best practices or technical skills and just focused on what looked good. Having an "eye for design" is 80% about being highly observant.

After over a year of the long marathon of writing my book, I finally submitted my manuscript to the editor. We arrived in Oaxaca, Mexico, for a month for my sabbatical month. But in the first week, a series of unexpected events happened, forcing me to put out fires left and right. I was overwhelmed with anxiety. Later, I realized that none of these were actually "urgent matters"—it was just my habitual mindset pulling me back into a state of busyness. It turns out that being in a state of ease and expansion feels unfamiliar and even scary to me, and stepping into it requires a bit of determination. With this realization, I now see this as a practice. I could fill this sabbatical month with online courses and a long reading list or learn how to slow down, allowing my mind and body to heal. "Rest is for walking a longer journey ahead." This phrase might sound cliché, but at this moment, it holds a deep meaning for me.

@moretothat Maybe another way to frame it is "point of view"? LLMs don't really have style or personal point of view.

We gravitate toward opinions, not facts. AI will be the greatest fact-gathering engine ever made, but it'll be constrained by its mediocre opinions. Learn how to share your opinions as stories, and your ideas will forever be valued.

(Helpful for thumbnails, podcast covers, etc) I don't know anything about anything. got this up and running in 30 min, then spent another 75 deploying the front and back end separately because ai told me so. now you can try it for free. what is this wizardry @nateliason ?
