Delighted to be able to confirm that TfL expect Colindale Station to reopen next Friday, the 20th December. Work will continue on redeveloping the station. The closure has affected a lot of us but as we approach the end of the year, this is good news for our community

@lewis_goodall Isn’t there almost a rule that Bradshaw gives something a poor review and then someone else at the Guardian writes something really positive four/fives days later?

Could not disagree with this more. Always thought it'd be impossible to dramatise Trump, because he's already so outlandish any portrayal would be cliche or impression. Saw it today and thought it falls into neither trap, genuinely subtle and interesting. theguardian.com/film/article/2…

Yesterday, I met with Alex Williams, Chief Customer Officer of TfL, to press him on what additional bus capacity could be provided to reduce the disruption caused by the temporary closure of Colindale Station. He also reconfirmed that the station is on track to reopen on time

@DavidPintoD Well done, David. Also, I would suggest an extra exit point given an increase in commuters getting off at Mill Hill. Good luck!

Great to meet with Network Rail-including the Mill Hill project lead-and Thameslink to discuss what needs to be done to deliver step free access at Mill Hill Broadway. After years of broken promises, I’m determined to do all I can to get the step free access residents deserve

@stained_moon @lorrainemking I know! The whole story so far is horrific. There is absolutely nothing ordinary or normal about those far right thugs who went out destroying to destroy lives. So many will forever be scarred by their actions.

@stained_moon @lorrainemking Yes. I believe three police dogs. So sad 😪 Don't know how serious the burns were. Two of them sustained injuries from thrown bricks.

@lorrainemking Apparently, it's our fault for using terms, i.e., 'far right'. It's ordinary people who: •Burn Police Stations, Library Hubs & citizens AB • Shout murder them whilst others pull cab drivers out of car •Throw acid at women •Target & beat up black & brown people •Burn dogs

@QMUL Really? Its Not 😠 25th July 2024 postponed History graduation ceremony now 30th August 2024 There are some truly upset students who were looking forward to this event. Their families spent lots of money preparing. It's still not clear exactly why it was cancelled 😕

For what it’s worth. I didn’t even notice the skin colour of a single penalty taker.. All I saw, was 5 excellent penalties, and a great save by Pickford👏👏🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 I couldn’t give a toss about their colour, & I’m not sure @rioferdy5 making a point like this is just making it worse💙

@DavidPintoD Wow 15 votes! Our votes do count. It's dramatic. Its deserved. When many of us are fatigued with national politics, locally, you were the only candidate who spent years fighting for local people across this constituency I'm delighted you won. Congratulations

I would say that Dawn's road from diagnosis/treatment & recovery from cancer equates empathy. It will mean a lot for those undergoing treatment I'm politically neutral and really cannot see any political angle. The inverted commas quote you find vile is from a journalist.
R@richardintheuk

@DawnButlerBrent What a vile thing to say. You clearly have no empathy or caring for other people, unless you can use them to make a political point.

@An0therGift @tds153 I think this is a touch unfair/ judgemental. He had a cap, umbrella & probably water. Poss 100 yds from residence. He fell & landed faced upwards. The heat likely made it difficult to survive, but he probably slipped on a rock & had serious accident & likely knocked unconcious.

The Michael Mosley thing is so sad. I keep on thinking “But he simply went for a walk”. And I’m pretty sure I might have done the same thing. “I wonder what the view’s like from up there? It won’t take more than twenty minutes.”

@4evrstardancer @studentactivism @amandalhu @EmoryUniversity Powerful image of white and black women intervening in police brutality. It's rightly a professor's job to protect students when they see viciously manhandling Netanyahu inter f#cking fering with US college protests for ceasefire and release of hostages results in this.

Fohlin’s husband, John Latting, is the Emory Dean of Admissions. This is going to be an interesting night in @EmoryUniversity’s top administrative echelons.
Robert Mackey@RobertMackey

It is worth watching this CNN video from the moment Emory Econ Professor @CarolineFohlin came across the violent arrest of a protester on campus and asked the police, with shock, "What are you doing?" That's all that prompted an officer to hurl her to the ground and handcuff her.

What on f#cks earth is this? Professor responsible for student safety, asks police what they're doing to one student being arrested for protesting. Professor getting wrongfully arrested with inexcusable manhandling ! Its her actual job to make sure those students are ok.

@ProudGranny24 @IanDunt Interesting. Does the average Daily Mail reader really want UK to sell arms to Israel after they potentially murdered our Ex Military? Remember, WCK supported and aided Israel after 7th October attacks. Following quick research (read chat with one reader) it's a firm NO.

Thank you @anne_clarke for securing this. Residents are deeply concerned about the impact of the temporary closure of Colindale Station. We are committed to making sure your voice is heard. These drop ins will give you a chance to put your concerns directly to TfL. Do come along
Cllr Anne Clarke AM@anne_clarke

I’ve been receiving many questions about the upgrade works for Colindale Station. At my request, @TfL have agreed to hold drop-ins to speak with residents directly. Come along- 14 March 7AM-10AM & 4PM-7PM at the entrance of Colindale Park, opposite the station.
