The General Partnership ("TheGP")
News! We just launched “The General Podcast” 🎙️ It’s a ‘hostless' show that pairs tech and business leaders together for honest, behind-the-scenes conversations about building: 🎙️ Ep 1: Katie Dill (@lil_dill) x Randy Hunt (@randyjhunt) 🎙️ Ep 2: A healthcare journalist x a Pulitzer Prize-winning author 🎙️ Ep 3: Two rising media founders 🎙️ Ep 4: Two legendary COOs And many more. So why are we doing this? The best conversations don’t happen in interviews. They happen between peers—people solving similar problems, or shaped by shared experience across an entire career. We built a show around that. Listen 👇

Everyone in the valley is building AI for people who like building with AI. But, the other 99% of professionals just need things handled. No prompting, no setup, no workflow design. Just open it and it works. Serif is delivering an agent for the broker clearing 200 emails a day, the lawyer prepping for 6 meetings, the sales rep managing 50 accounts. They don't want to configure agents. They want to open something and have it work. Black Air Force 1s, not Nike ID. Utility over customization - off the shelf, out of the box, reliable every time.
Kevin Yang@kevinyang

We raised $6.5M to build the agent for professionals. When your reputation is on the line, you need an agent that's reliable, secure, and one step ahead. Try it now at serif.ai

Two very smart people (@HarryStebbings × @gokulr) went deep on moats and durable companies on @20vc. @dan_portillo and @thegp got a shoutout as differentiated product in VC. Earned > paid. Always.
Harry Stebbings@HarryStebbings

Most podcasts are BS because they are fluffy and lack substance. This is the densest, most insightful episode you will listen to this year. @gokulr breaks down the 8 defensible moats you need for your company to be successful in a world of AI. 1. Data (Proprietary and inaccessible) 2. Workflow (Deeply embedded operations) 3. Regulatory (Licenses and contracts) 4. Distribution (Exclusive proprietary channels) 5. Ecosystem (Third-party platform reliance) 6. Network (Marketplace liquidity density) 7. Physical (Infrastructure and atoms) 8. Scale (Low cost through volume) (Links below)

Capability isn’t the bottleneck for AI agents anymore. Serif gets this. Instead of “automate anything,” they picked the workflows professionals actually do every day and went deep. Narrow surface area. Reliable execution. Agents that come to you — not the other way around. That’s the right bet. Congrats on the launch.

@phineasb and @dan_portillo have built one of the most differentiated investing platforms at @thegp - kind of insane how many incredible companies they've built teams for at the earliest stage. True definition of sweat equity!
Phin Barnes@phineasb

So great to hear two smart friends (@HarryStebbings and @gokulr ) go deep on 20VC podcast about moats and durable companies in this new world. Even better to earn a mention of @dan_portillo and @thegp in a section on differentiated product in VC. open.spotify.com/episode/1iNEQD…

Teachers live in their browsers. Google Docs. Research sites. News articles. A resource you found at 8:47 pm that's perfect for tomorrow's lesson.
We built the SchoolAI Browser Extension for all of these moments.
Feedback that arrives while it still matters:
Open a student essay in Google Docs, and click the SchoolAI extension. Get rubric-aligned feedback, inline comments, and a full revision history showing how the work was built, not just what it says. The AI drafts the feedback, and you decide what reaches the student.
A thought partner in every tab: Find a great article or primary source? Chat with SchoolAI right on the page. Brainstorm how to teach it, then turn it into a lesson plan, worksheet, or assessment in seconds. Translate it into over 60 languages, or adjust the reading level. No copy-paste, no switching tabs. And here's the part no other extension does: From that same webpage, create a Space where every student works through the material with their own AI sidekick, at their pace. Then open Mission Control and see who's engaged, who's stuck, and what to do next. "Other extensions help teachers work faster. SchoolAI helps teachers and students learn better." – Melissa Brayall Free for all SchoolAI users through the rest of the school year. Install the extension 👇

If you've ever onboarded onto a codebase and had to DM six people just to understand one service, this is for you. Falconer is live on Product Hunt today—go check it out! We've been heads down building our dream tool for a while—a knowledge layer that connects your codebase, Slack, and docs so your team never loses critical context every time someone goes on PTO or a Slack thread turns 30 days old. We've always loved the Product Hunt community. Excited to finally be on the other side of it and share what we've been working on. Drop a comment, ask questions, and let us know what you think! producthunt.com/products/falco…

My early investment in Notion taught me how tools define workflows. My investment in Clay and Glide and Anomalo taught me that spreadsheets are the most widely used programing language in the world - and there is huge value to generate if you unlock new ways to interact with rows and columns in a relational database - now @thegp - working with @jhnling and the @MeridianAgent team, I'm learning how a system of intelligence will change Excel and the ways we model and manage our world - from finance to operations, marketing and research - so much valuable information lives in spreadsheets. Meridian leverages AI to unlock this value for end users and teams - incredibly high leverage and I'm really excited to see this next evolution of spreadsheet use take shape. Happy to join this journey with @a16z, @kimberlywtan, @QEDInvestors - @VivaLaVZ, @FPVventures - @weschan and @_pegahe, @litquidityvc, and great angels @alexandr_wang, @summeryue0, @lindazgong, @zhichun_li, @vjkaruna and @Jon_Wilfong

We backed @falconer_ai because good context is no longer optional. LLMs collapsed the cost of creating artifacts. But as information multiplies inside an organization, the harder it is to know what’s true, current and actually matters. While LLMs are powerful, they don’t know who owns what, why a system was designed a certain way or what broke last time. While humans can carry this context implicitly, software does not. @capitaltruist and @mbenedetto212 are building a truly AI-native context graph designed to serve agents as much as humans. Proud to be partners and build alongside them from day 1.
Dave Nunez@capitaltruist

Today a reset is taking place. The senior engineer making a million dollars a year in San Francisco uses the same frontier coding agent as the junior engineer in the Midwest. We talk to companies every day that are taking advantage of this reset, adopting expensive tools, putting in long hours, and still hitting a wall when AI struggles to understand their business context and intent. The real truth is somewhere between the teams’ heads and the codebase. Falconer gives everyone in the company, from engineering to sales to marketing to finance, a reliable source of truth. One that’s easy to contribute to and helps keep itself up to date. If you want to know what changed in your product last week, ask Falconer to write a changelog. If you want to understand how payment flows work for your new product, ask Falconer to create a diagram. If you want to capture the decisions in your long Slack thread, ask Falconer to turn it into a document. When the code changes, your PRDs, strategy docs, and runbooks get updated. Your employees are happy, your coding agents are happy. Falconer was built with lessons in mind from making engineers at Uber and Stripe the most productive in the industry. We built custom tools for top tier talent. The results were remarkable. But outside of these companies, no one has access to these custom tools. That’s what we had in mind when we built Falconer. The quality of information you feed yourselves and your AI tools is how you get the most out of them and separate yourselves from the competition. You can start centralizing and curating and compounding those gains over time, or you can let the bad information multiply, rot, and pollute your knowledge—severely limiting your AI leverage. Everyone wants more knowledge, and everyone has knowledge to contribute. Falconer is now available as your source of truth to achieve the productivity gains you’ve been searching for.
