If there is anything I want people to know about me, it’s that I am a follower of Christ. I will forever be grateful for the death and resurrection of Jesus wiping my sin clean. I have done things in my life I wish I never had. But Jesus has allowed me to use my past to show his goodness. I will continue to show HIS light no matter what it costs me here on earth. Basketball, money, and fame all comes to an end. But eternity is forever!

Jesus didn’t die boldly and publicly for us to follow Him secretly and cowardly.

Everything is expensive these days, yet God has never allowed me to go hungry or empty-handed. He always makes a way. How can I not be grateful?

We caught up with Head Coach Jerry Nichols of Walters State following their win over Midland College. With four players in double figures — led by Jamar Livingston (19), Taquez Butler (17), Carter Webb (17), and Brian Carter (12) — Coach Nichols broke down what opened up offensively and how their balance created winning basketball. Put some respect on their name. Walters State continues to prove they belong on this stage. Coach Nichols also shared the message in the locker room as his group moves to 2–0 at the national tournament and prepares for the Elite 8.

Earlier this week, I caught a glimpse of Marvin Bagley III’s pregame routine. He told me it’s his prayer time. He prays for protection & Gods hand over the night. He shared, “I want people to know Jesus is real and share that with people. That’s most important to me.”
