@IHateNYT These are all sales prices, at a specific store in most likely a cheaper state. He's not wrong you can make a cheap lunch but alot of these $ totals are exaggerated or sound or look like prison food tbh

@MetaPrime001 @ChefApeMan @PrivateFCKelly Tell that to the people growing good local natural food. People could eat it if it was affordable. A McDonalds value meal is cheaper than a handful of "locally grown vegetables" from the farmers market.

@ChefApeMan @PrivateFCKelly Losing this argument so bad you have to pull out an obvious strawman? Of course I'm not advocating for unnecessarily expensive food I'm clearly saying people should be able to eat good local natural food Are you saying everyone should have to suffer low quality slop?

This sentiment is disgusting Instead of trying to make people's lives better, they are trying to convince you it's totally acceptable how bad they are

Anyhoo if you want to NOT look like this example, I do online fitness coaching. As a husband, dad, writer, and entrepreneur, I make sustainable, time effective, and practical programs because that’s exactly what I need. Been doing it for 8+ years. Shoot me a DM if interested

Average build of a guy eating PB&J, chips, and apples for lunch in the big 2026… (I get your point dude but let’s be a little more practical, protein matters and so does not eating like an 8 year old)

Loaf of bread = $5 Peanut butter = $4 Jelly = $4 18 pack of chips = $12 Bag of apples = $5 Total = $30 And you'll have lunch for an entire week or two. $2-4 average per day. Inflation isn't the problem. Your spending habits are.

@NoNameGirl8686 They can, they choose not to, or make poor life choices. "Why can't I live in a big expensive city and still afford to do anything I want? Wah!" I barely make anything and I still go on vacations, to movies, concerts etc. If you can't afford those things you are doing it wrong.

What else is there to do? They can’t afford concerts, movies, bowling, amusement parks, sports games, clubs, etc. Is the American dream now to sit in your house eating PB&J except for when you are at work?
Jeremiah Johnson 🌐@JeremiahDJohns

The biggest thing happening behind the scenes in the "expensive lunch" discourse is that Zoomers are eating out at ridiculously high rates. It's a silent assumption for a ton of young people that restaurants are a basic necessity, not an occasional treat.

@plzbepatient Also why does this only ever expected to go one way? Dad is supposed to play dress up and makeup with his daughter. I never hear anyone saying moms should run around outside getting dirty and wrestling around and playing sports or whatever with their sons.

@thegregzilla @JefferyCMay @krissstyne @MensHumor Huh? I’m a farmer with lots of property, son. I don’t like Indiana. I’m a Floridian. I feed the nation, meanwhile you argue about nothing. I do more tough things in one day on my farm than you probably do in a year, but keep calling people babies, I guess. 🤷‍♀️

@Frank66_ If you are eating at a place where your meal costs 28$ that's your own fault.

This is 100% accurate. The boomer says “why are young people paying $28 for lunch? THATS why you’re struggling” The same boomer, would go out to eat and get the same meal for $11.49, in his day The boomer spending $28 on lunch, in his day, would have been extravagant spending. The boomer cannot comprehend that the same $11.49 sandwich, drink, and fries he would get on his lunch break, now costs $28 They simply cannot comprehend it. Boomers can’t conceptualize the inflation that they themselves created
Crispr ☭Third-Worldist☭ 🇵🇸 🇷🇺 🇰🇵 🇨🇳 🇮🇷@CollapseAnime

Going out to eat used to be cheap, that's the thing nobody wants to mention. Boomers went out to eat all the time while paying mortgage and buying toys and going on vacation.

@thegregzilla @JefferyCMay @krissstyne @MensHumor Why bother with a person who claims others must move to a place they don’t want to live because you said so? I’m not opening your links because fool me once, shame on you. I’m not getting to twice. Go bother other people about your silly links.

@RealPostFolder Parents fault first, your fault second. Parents should've addressed it when given the chance, but you didn't have to go directly to the police as your first backup. Pigs should always be the last resort, if you go to them at all

@RefinedPopulist To be fair Culver's is always expensive. It's generally always more expensive than competitors. And the other is Arby's? You can eat for cheaper than that at Arby's, this is picking an expensive item to make a point. I agree with you that fast food is out of control.

@Sheridanblog @MrMarvelTV You realize Curry is only a few percent higher. If they both took 100 3s, Curry is gonna make maybe 5 or 6 more.

With 19 seconds on the shot clock, this is actually an atrocious shot selection by Wemby with everything on the line. People don't realize shots from this range is mostly ineffective unless you are Steph Curry. The defense reacts to Curry from out there because they know he can keep doing it. If you can move the defense because it's scared of you shooting a 35-footer, then the possibilities become endless, but as long as the defense doesn't react with any regularity - it never has and never will for anyone not named Curry - this is just a bold and a highly questionable shot. Imagine the criticism if Wemby missed this shot. That said, it was incredible shot-making and ridiculously clutch, so hats off to Wemby for the conversion. Shockingly good.

@thegregzilla @krissstyne @JefferyCMay @MensHumor I commented what prices are in my area. Indiana sucks. I did my undergrad there. That is why it’s so cheap. I live in Florida, so no, no link you shared is better than where I live. 🤣 There are few places nicer than where I live.
