Cody Bellinger has a fracture in his left middle finger from getting hit by a pitch last night and is going on the 10-day IL. Cubs recalled Alexander Canario from Triple A.

Lol. That's what Skenes can look like, folks. Three batters who did not really have a prayer. The next seven years will not be fun.

@RedactleUnltd Having problems getting the Daily puzzle to load. Some browsers it's giving an error message, others it's just stuck on loading the article. Any ideas?

@MBDChicago @BleacherNation I don't disagree with that. I suspect the owners need to feel "in control" regardless and don't want to give the players that leverage, even if they'd be unlikely to use it.

@thehiddenllama @BleacherNation If players strike, the PR hit is deff on the players regardless of who’s “right/wrong” in discussion. Plus, the game’s in a precarious spot w fan growth; I’m not sure players would strike mid season. Seems there was time for teams to milk current CBA at least a bit longer.

@MBDChicago @BleacherNation It might be that, but mainly it's to control the timing of the work stoppage. If they let play continue with no CBA, the players could strike at some point, which would definitely caused lost games.

@BleacherNation If the terms of the current CBA are good for the owners, why lockout? All the terms are in their favor. Or do they actually think they’ll get a PR one-up on the players if this stretches into spring?

@adamjahns He should. Will he though? With cap going down and the lingering perception that seems to be out there (at least in the media) that he isn't truly in the tip-top tier of WRs, he made not find the AAV he covets on a long term deal.

@BN_Bears I mean, that was pretty clearly the kind of hit that's been a no-no for at least the past few years.

Air quality in parts of #LosAngeles is currently considered “hazardous,” with health risks for everyone (not just “sensitive groups”). LA has one of the worst levels of air pollution in the WORLD right now after a night of fireworks. There is a haze across the entire city.

Hey @SIRIUSXM @SXM_Help -- pretty ridiculous that you can't cancel your subscription online and instead have to wait on hold for hours to talk to someone in a call center. Holding subscribers hostage isn't a great way to build trust/long term users...
