Birthright citizenship is not something that is up for negotiation nor is there any ambiguity under the law. The Constitution makes it abundantly clear: if you are born in the United States, you are a citizen of the United States.

During a crisis like the wildfires we’re fighting right now in the LA area — it is critical that we don’t spread rampant misinformation. It’s too easy to click and share — but take a second to make sure what you’re sharing is actually factually accurate.

#EatonCanyonFire: Pasadena, Arcadia, Temple City, Glendale, South Pasadena, Alhambra, Monrovia, Rosemead, San Gabriel, San Marino and Garvey Unified School District will all be closed tomorrow in response to Eaton Canyon Fire.

Update: 10:50 p.m. If you are subject to emergency evacuation, please head to the evacuation center at the Pasadena Convention Center, 300 E. Green St. Pasadena, CA 91101. Parking is available at the parking structure across the street from the Convention Center, located at 155 E. Green St. Please enter from Marengo Ave. Parking is also available at the Paseo parking structure, located at 360 E. Colorado Blvd. You are able to enter the structure from Colorado Blvd. or Green St. The Humane Society is on-site to accept pets for boarding. Service animals will be allowed inside the Convention Center. Residents are able to call 211 for information regarding shelters, and social and health services.
