@nippon_en Japan drives on the left hand side of the road but pedestrians are taught from an early age to look left right then left again. Pointing of course. In the UK we are taught right, left, then right again which is more logical?

@Porschephile_1 @fia Good for you. I cancelled my @SkySportsF1 subscription at the end of last year. Knew roughly what was coming…. Scalectrix would be more exciting.

Cancelled my @fia F1 subscription. It might not make a difference but that's also OK. Once they've changed the cars back F1 from Marion Cart I might subscribe again

@Verstappenn_ Also, just listen to the commentators and pundits telling the viewers how exciting it all is. Symptom of a clapped out sport. I’ve not renewed my @SkySportsF1 subscription this year. Bring back Horner. The one we loved to hate. Nicely…

I’ve watched F1 for 17 years and have missed only 3 races in that time and right now I’ve never felt so un interested or invested in this artificial season so far. Everything feels off, like nothing feels genuine, shit engines, paid PR commentators, censoring bad comments, faking speed telemetry, cars can’t get off the line, cars randomly spinning their drivers round for no reason, the illegal Mercedes again that everyone seems to be fine with, it’s laughable. The gap between F1 and WEC, Indycar in terms of entertainment has never been this big.

🚨| Wolff against Horner, endless challenge: now he wants to blow his share of Alpine: — Toto Wolff is eyeing a 24% stake in Alpine, currently held by Otro Capital. This move could block Chris Horner, who is interested in the same share, from re-entering Formula 1 with Alpine. — Alpine's ownership is split between Renault (76%) and Otro Capital (24%). Wolff's potential acquisition aligns with Mercedes' ongoing power unit supply deal with Alpine, extending until 2030. — Chris Horner, free to return to F1 in May after leaving Red Bull, seeks a competitive role, not just as a team principal. He aims to acquire shares, making the Alpine stake crucial for his plans. — If Wolff secures the 24% stake, Horner's path to Alpine would be blocked due to his rivalry with Wolff. The existing motor deal between Mercedes and Alpine could also hinder Horner's ambitions. — The potential acquisition by Mercedes could spark controversy over timeshare issues, reminiscent of Horner's past benefits from similar arrangements at Red Bull with Racing Bulls. — The rivalry between Wolff and Horner adds another layer of complexity to the situation, with both seeking to strengthen their positions in the competitive world of Formula 1. #alpinef1 🇫🇷 VIA: [formulapassion]

🚨| Aston Martin warned it may have already “ruined” Honda relationship after 'disastrous' 2026 start: — Will Buxton cautioned that Aston Martin might have jeopardized its new partnership with Honda following a challenging start to the 2026 Formula 1 season. Speaking on the Up To Speed podcast, Buxton remarked: “It was a disaster. It was a disaster from start to finish.” “Let's not try and paint this as some sort of success that Aston Martin managed to get a car on the grid, managed to get it to overtake a few cars when the lights went out and somehow completed more laps than we expected, and Fernando Alonso went back in the race, however many laps down he was.” “This is the year that was supposed to be the one. The Adrian car, the Honda engine, Lawrence Stroll pinned everything on the regulation change this year. This was the year that they came to fight, and they're not.” — Buxton drew parallels between Aston Martin's current struggles and Honda's previous partnerships, suggesting potential issues: “There are two really big problems that Aston Martin has right now. One is an engine that's shaking itself to pieces. And the other thing I see right now is that they have started their relationship with Honda in completely the wrong way because they've thrown Honda under the bus, rightly or wrongly.” “Did they do their due diligence? Did they know that Honda was in the situation that it was in when they signed the contract to bring Honda back to F1 and have their engines?” — Buxton warned of the consequences of blaming Honda, referencing McLaren's past experience: “But if you're going to pin all the blame on Honda, that's exactly what McLaren did. And by the time Honda found their feet, which they will do, Honda had had enough of McLaren and had gone to Red Bull.” “When you start off your first weekend throwing Honda under the bus, and in Japanese culture, pride and loyalty are so, so key. I just feel like they may have completely ruined that relationship before the first weekend was even over.” #fernandoalonso 🇪🇸 #astonmartinf1 🇬🇧 #f12026 VIA: [motorsport]

So Aston Martin team traveled to Honda facilities MULTIPLE times before November 2025, but the employees there gave them either adjusted or fake info to ensure everything was OK. In November, the whole thing exploded once the numbers did not match. Lawsuit incoming

HMS DRAGON STILL NOT READY The Royal Navy’s Type 45 destroyer HMS Dragon will not be ready for operations for at least another week, according to the latest reports. Britain once ruled the waves. Now even getting a destroyer back to sea is a struggle. Shambolic.

Should you retake your driving test every 5 years? New figures show that London and the South-East record the highest number of crashes in the country. Should motorists be required to retake their test to prove they’re still safe behind the wheel?

Adrian Newey on the @AstonMartinF1 AMR26: "That vibration into the chassis is causing a few reliability problems. Mirrors falling off, tail lights falling off, all that sort of thing, which we are having to address. But the much more significant problem with that is that that vibration is transmitted, ultimately into the driver's fingers. So Fernando is of the feeling that he can't do more than 25 laps consecutively before he will risk permanent nerve damage into his hands. Lance is the opinion that he can't do more than 15 laps before that threshold."

This woman was visiting Japan, while there she stayed in what she thought was a reputable hotel. When she got back to her room from sight seeing, she laid on her bad and noticed a strange smell. She looked around and couldn’t see anything then she looked under the bed and saw the eyes of a man. She screamed loudly and then he screamed and ran out. The hotel employees immediately came up to the room and called the police. She asked the hotel workers how something like this happened. Their response to her was suspicious and chilling, they said that the police will never find him because they don’t have cameras. She checked out and demanded a refund, they offered her $178 in hotel credit coupons. They eventually refunded her $600 but still didn’t do a report because they claim they need to clarify the details of what happened. Based on how uncooperative they were and how they were refusing to acknowledge and accept responsibility, is it entirely possible it was a hotel worker and they are covering for them, why else would a hotel chain not have security cameras?
