@mylesdavies Somebody explained it to me once that Americans think medical care actually costs what they get charged for it.
English

I’m still utterly flabbergasted that a lot of Americans don’t want affordable healthcare… why???
You’re a human being, your body will get sick once in a while, so why go bankrupt trying to get better?
Astounding!!!
Anonymous@YourAnonNews
They really don't know what's going on, do they?

OR an audiobook. Like "My Brother's Ashes Are In A Sandwich Bag", by Michelle Brasier, for instance. Read marvellously by the author!

A perfect day to purchase my book in my opinion

@lone_gamer78 Herman's Head was brilliant for 80s/90s crushes. I had a bit of a thing for both Jane Sibbett AND Molly Hagan from that show.
My OG TV crush was Kirstie Alley on Cheers, though.
English

My first was an actor named Yeardly Smith (I probably butchered the spelling). You'd probably know her as the voice of Lisa Simpson but I first saw her on a show called Herman's head. How about you? Who was your first actor crush?
All The Right Movies@ATRightMovies
Which actor/actress was your first crush?

Kevin only becoming aware of Nicolas Cage's serious drama chops after having been subjected to the absolute schlockiest selections non-stop whilst hiding out with Jake

If Australia is good at swimming because we are girt by sea, shouldn’t the USA be good at shooting because… well…?

@valhallabckgirl well, shit. Thank you. Also now I gotta follow through and actually DO it...
English

@valhallabckgirl MAAAAAATE.
Congrats. Game changer.
I was gonna spit out a multi-tweet "stuff I wish I knew when I was newly diagnosed" thread, but apparently that's only for blue tick dorks now
(and, upon reflection, unsolicited advice from rando yt dudes is so passe)
English

@lone_gamer78 yeah it's pretty subtle eh? 😂

I lived in America for around a year, and I've been saying since then:
"AN American" is one of the most generous, friendly, personable people you're ever likely to meet.
"Americans", (collectively), are completely out of their fucking minds.
Ed Hull@EdHull8
Until Trump entered politics I never realized how many sincerely stupid people live in the USA.
English

@theshiniestbox You were right; if you have it as an adult, you HAD it as a kid. A lot of people find out in adulthood because the condition starts to outpace your ad-hoc coping strategies the older you get and the more complicated life gets.
English

I was only saying this to someone the other day. Films look too "clean" now; you don't see little things like dust motes or insects in the air, or a tiny speck of spittle flying out of actors' mouths anymore. Everything looks vaguely unreal
jeremy@jeremylovesyall
can't quite put my finger on it but a lot of movies just look way too clean and glossy now. every actor looks like they were just on the make-up chair, every prop and location looks like no ones ever used it before. everything looks too perfect. maybe i'm just going insane idk
English

@brianjoralvarez cinematrix, then connections, then wordle.

@theshiniestbox jesus CHRIST what's wrong with people
