Man of Many Talents

I think the Knicks winning the title has the opposite effect of what everyone is saying. The rest of the league has so little respect for the Knicks title that they believe just about anyone can win the chip next year and now everyone is going all thinking they can be next.

The Celtics are banking on Payton Pritchard making a Jalen Brunson-type leap, per @tomhaberstroh “The Celtics trading [Jaylen] Brown is a bet that [Payton] Pritchard is their in-house version of New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson, a diminutive player who didn’t fully show his talents until Luka Dončić was out of the picture.” (h/t @TheDunkCentral)

NBA sources believe Jaylen Brown thinks he’s the smartest person in the room, per @colincowherd “I had two NBA sources … two people in the league, one an executive, one a scout, say that Jaylen Brown has — it’s a disease. He suddenly thinks he’s the smartest guy in every room he’s in … You make a lot of money, suddenly you’re absolutely sure, you don’t wanna listen to your bosses, you don’t wanna listen to consultants, you don’t wanna listen to teammates.” (h/t @TheNBABase & @Fullcourtpass )

"Even though Jaylen Brown was talking about himself for MVP, the Celtics did not feel like Jaylen had the best season on their team…They felt that Derrick White had a better season." — Brian Windhorst. 😳 (h/t @MrBuckBuckNBA)

Welcome to Boston, Paul George!
