Many say it every year. Why do we have 1 game, break, 1 game, break, then 6 games starting within a 4 hour span in the Round of 32?

watching SLU doing its thing just makes me angrier we were denied watching Indiana State in the NCAA Tournament two years ago so Virginia could fart out one final 40-point game under Tony Bennett

The selection committee either needs to admit that they need to look at the selection process or just come out and say that they only want high majors. VCU wasn’t even in the field without winning the A10 tourney. They just beat UNC. Add it to Miami (OH) and High Point already…

@darrenrovell @ItIsMeMatt I mean first, that’s resale. Second, if that’s the argument, then cool. Let’s see the Super Bowl, World Cup, other “high cost of admission” events charge similar.

It’s that time of year when everyone talks about the Masters food as if its the greatest thing ever. Continues to be one of the weirdest annual behaviors in all of sport. And the next month, people pretend like the Mint Julep at the Kentucky Derby is a Top 1,000 cocktail!

⛳️ 🍫 #NEW: While last year’s addition to #TheMasters menu was met with mixed feedback (tomato pie), 2026’s will surely be a hit. ANGC has partnered with Bitzel’s, an artisan chocolate factory near Atlanta to produce the official “Masters Candy Bar” which debuts this year!

@JackGodar So if Lehigh (as a low major example) goes undefeated and loses to a q4 team in their conf tourney do they belong? Mcneese St? Any low major? They’d all likely have the same number of quad 1/2 wins as Miami.

I don't care what conference you're in or what your strength of schedule was or what your predictive metrics are, if you go undefeated during the regular season, you deserve to make your division's national championship tournament. If Miami doesn't make the NCAAT, it's a travesty

“Why is the bubble so bad?” Bitch, maybe it’s because you’ve cast all mid major conferences to the shadow realm with the “NCAA Evaluation Tool” 😂😭

*sigh* what could've been if the MVC actually gave doing well in the regular season some weight.

Never gonna get over that Ballard finally found his kicker for the next 2 decades in Spencer Shrader but then a Raider decided to dive head first into his kicking leg on a random PAT which ended his career.

@EvanMiya Are the changes the bubble teams being collectively “worse” though, or more that the top 5-10 teams have been pulling away from everyone else? I guess are the bubble teams that much worse when compared to a typical 5-7 seed, or is it just everyone falling behind the top 3 seeds?

This year's bubble is objectively the worst we've ever had. Based on how much worse the average bubble team is compared to the top teams in the sport, we can rank the worst bubbles in the last 15 years. Worst bubble years: 1. 2026 2. 2015 3. 2024 4. 2025 5. 2019
Seth Davis@SethDavisHoops

This is the time of year when we always hear people claiming this is the "worst bubble ever" or "an awful bubble." Can the analytics/metrics experts run the numbers to see if this is true? There must be a way to measure it right?
