Yesterday after 3 yrs of hard work, studying, and timeline setbacks, I successfully passed my oral prelim to become a PhD candidate 🤎 I couldn’t have done it without the support of my family, friends, and my amazing PI (@MuckDragon) + lab mates (@marissa_digs_it @CheersJacob)!

@recchuiti Yes!! Exactly!! We adopted her in Oregon and she came with the name which we thought was sooo perfect ❤️ she was “mama Mazama” had 5 kittens when she went into rescue all named after mountain: Denali, Rainier, Shasta, Lassen, and Siskiyou 🏔️

My MIL gave me the most incredible Christmas gift this year- the largest stand mixer that @KitchenAidUSA makes 😭 she knows how much I bake for fun and for my department @CropAndSoil at NC State- I CANNOT wait to use it!! ❤️ (last pic old vs new mixer for size comparison 😳)

Made my own pumpkin purée for some baked goods this week 🤩 saved the seeds for roasting + planting in the spring 🌱
